Having traveled to Western New York in the summer of 2015 to work on a jobsite, Curtis found himself riddled with headaches Curtis Johnson that simply wouldn’t go away. He checked into Orleans Community Health Hospital in Medina where scans found a tumor on his brain. Curtis was transferred to Buffalo General Medical Center where he underwent multiple brain surgeries. His mother drove to Buffalo from her home in Alabama so she could stay by his side. It was a tearful but exciting day for her when Curtis came out of his first major surgery! Curtis would spend nearly a month on-and-off at Kevin Guest House recovering from additional surgeries. He would be discharged but would be required to stay nearby to continue follow-up care. His girlfriend Karen would stay with him and help with recovery. Today Curtis is feeling well and his scans giving him positive news. Nightly dinners helped Curtis during his stay, from the comforting food on the table to the support found in new friends, he truly found Kevin Guest House to be his “home away from home.” 4 TOTAL NUMBER OF 2015 BY THE NUMBERS GUESTS SERVED: 1,056 LONGEST STAY IN 2015: TOTAL NIGHTS 81% STAYED: OCCUPANCY RATE* 4,778 Higher than national average, accounting 158 NIGHTS for last minute cancellations.” Across the USA: Alabama WHERE ARE Arizona California GUESTS Connecticut COMING FROM?
