In January of 2016, Darren Powell was introduced to San Antonio as the frst ever head coach of the later named San Antonio FC. Powell became the face of a new franchise in San Antonio and began working towards putting his roster and staf together for the 2016 USL season.

Powell joined SAFC from MLS side Orlando City SC where he was the club’s academy director.

Powell led all aspects of the Orlando City Academy from its inception after OCSC was awarded an MLS expansion spot. Powell would help develop the style of play between all age groups in the academy that would match the MLS frst team.

Prior to his time with Orlando City, Powell was the head coach of Elon University since December 2004. During Powell’s tenure, the program produced 45 All-Southern Conference performers, four conference players of the year and two league freshmen of the year. Powell has been named the SoCon’s Coach of the Year four times.

In 2013 the Powell-led Phoenix won 15 games and became only the third team in league history to capture three consecutive SoCon Tournament titles. Powell earned his second straight SoCon Coach of the Year accolade and fourth overall.

In 2012, Powell led the Phoenix to arguably its best season ever at the Division I level. The program won 15 games, including four against ranked competition, and captured the league’s regular-season and tournament title for he frst time in school history. Powell was rewarded as the SoCon’s Coach of the Year for the third time in his career and led the maroon and gold to its second consecutive NCAA Head Coach Tournament appearance.

The 2010 squad battled a tough schedule on its way to an 8-6-5 overall ledger, the sixth consecutive First Season with San Antonio winning season for the program. In 2009, Elon fnished the year with a .500 or better record for the ffth consecutive year, earning a 10-8-2 mark that included a victory over ACC-foe Clemson. The Phoenix also advanced to the SoCon Tournament championship game for the frst time in program history.

In 2008, Powell guided Elon to its frst-ever NCAA Division I league title and a perfect 7-0-0 mark in UNC Greensboro ‘95 conference play during the regular season. Powell was honored as the conference’s top coach, his second such honor in four seasons with the Phoenix. Under Powell’s leadership, the Elon program claimed its frst-ever NCAA Division I national ranking in 2006. Nottingham, England Powell joined Elon after serving four seasons as an assistant coach at Southern Conference rival UNC Greensboro.

During Powell’s four seasons at UNCG, the Spartan program posted a 55-26-3 mark and became the nation’s top-ranked program during the regular season in 2004. Powell assisted in all aspects of the program, including recruiting, scheduling and academic development. Powell was honored as one of the top NCAA Division I assistant coaches by College Soccer News and coached three MLS players.

Prior to joining the Spartan staf, Powell headed the Greensboro College men’s soccer program for three seasons, posting a 50-12-3 ledger. He led the Pride to the NCAA Division III fnals in 1998 and Dixie Conference titles in 1998, 1999 and 2000.

Following a four-year collegiate career at UNC Greensboro, Powell played professionally for the Carolina Dynamo USISL team, the Raleigh Flyers A-League team and the Wilmington Hammerheads USISL team from 1995-1999. At UNCG, Powell helped the Spartans to two NCAA Tournament appearances in 1993 and 1994. He was a two-time , team MVP and All-South Region selection as well as a three-time All-Big South Conference honoree. Powell became the frst Spartan player to score over 100 career points at the Division I level.

Powell graduated from UNC Greensboro in 1995 with a bachelor’s degree in leisure studies. He and his wife, Elise, have two children – Naomi and Caleb.

Thomsons came to San Antonio from Georgia where he served as Director of High Performance with Georgia United UFA working in the USSDA. His duties in San Antonio include assisting Head Coach Darren Powell with on feld periodization of football training.

As part of industry leading expert Raymond Verheijen’s World Football Academy, Andy is a WFA Expert. His experiences with WFA provide a strategic and robust methodology, integrating player development and periodization.

With thorough experience in professional player development (St.Mirren FC, Scotland), an extensive background in athletic development (Scottish Institute of Sport), international experience at National Team level with the US Soccer Federation (USPNT) and with over 15 years experience in coaching, Thomson provides a unique 21st century perspective on soccer performance.

Nick Evans joins the SAFC staf in its frst season as a frst team assistant coach.

Evans spent the past two seasons as frst team assistant coach to Alen Marcina with the San Antonio Scorpions of the NASL.

During his time as assistant at the San Antonio Scorpions, the team won the 2014 Fall Season Championship as well as the 2014 NASL . During that 2014 season the Scorpions broke the modern day NASL record for least goals conceded in a season.

Evans has also worked as a director of boys development of youth here in San Antonio for the past six years.

The native of Wales holds a USSF A License as well as a BSc in Sport & Exercise Science and a MSc in Kinesiology.

As a player Nick joined English League 1 side Shrewsbury Town at 16 years old before going on to play over 100 games in the Welsh Premier League before moving to further his education in America. JUAN LAMADRID Juan Lamadrid joins SAFC for the frst season in club history, as the assistant/goalkeeper coach.

Lamadrid was the goalkeepers coach of the San Antonio Scorpions of the professional North American Soccer League (NASL), since 2012. The Scorpions captured the 2014 NASL Championship under his leadership. With the Scorpions, Lamadrid coached MLS veteran , US National Team Member David Bingham, and San Antonio native Matt Cardone.

Coach Lamadrid has been a part of the Trinity University coaching staf since 2010, bringing with him a wealth of soccer coaching and playing experience. During his tenure, the Tiger teams have consistently produced some of the best defenses in the NCAA Division III.

Coach Lamadrid began his professional soccer career at age 17, playing Third Division with Soles de Hermosillo, Mexico. He played for six seasons in the Second Division with Coras del Tepic, Zacatepec, and Tampico Madero. In 1993, Coach Lamadrid moved up to the First Division and was a member of the Chivas Rayadas de Guadalajara for two seasons.

After fnishing his playing career in 1996, Coach Lamadrid coached club and high school soccer in . He was an assistant coach for Los Angeles Valley College, before moving on to CD Chivas USA San Bernardino Academy in 2006. Coach Lamadrid claims fve international championships, as well as fnishing second in the 2008 Copa Chivas International in Guadalajara.

Assistant/Go a l k e e p e r Co a c h Coach Lamadrid has scouted for USA Youth National Teams with the United States Soccer Federation, and has worked training camps with Boca Juniors USA. JORDAN HARDING Jordan Harding enters his frst full season as San Antonio FC’s Head Athletic Trainer. Harding comes from the SS&E family, spending the last season working full time as a Certifed Athletic Trainer with the of the NBA.

After working the majority of the 2015-16 NBA season with The Spurs, Harding was quickly embraced inside the locker room as a key fgure regarding the team’s daily ftness, weight- training, rest and recovery routines, in an efort to keep each player healthy and available on the court all season long.

Prior to his stint with the San Antonio Spurs, Harding spent two years in the MLS and USL working with and The Real Monarchs. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from in Ogden, .

RASHAD MOORE Rashad Moore was born in Wichita Falls, TX. As a military dependent he lived in Saudi Arabia from age 2-4 and began to play soccer while growing up there. His family moved back to Wichita Falls for six years before moving to Japan. Played six years in Japanese youth league in Misawa and Zama, Japan and also one year of high school soccer. He then moved to Schertz, TX and attended Samuel Clemens where he graduated in 2007 and was named a 2007 All-City San Antonio, All South Region and All State Honorable Mention in soccer.

Moore joined the military at the end of 2007, becoming a Corpsman. While stationed in Charleston, SC he deployed to Central America, South America, Africa and Eastern Europe. From 2010-11 he played for All-Navy soccer team and also attended Navy/Army Physical Therapist Assistant School in 2012. Moore’s enlistment ended 2013, when he moved back to San Antonio. He attained and Associate of Applied Science for Physical Therapy in 2015 and is currently attending UTSA.

DA VID MA RKLEY David Markley joins SAFC as Soccer Operations Manager for the club’s inaugural season. Markley overseas all operations on the team side of the organization and also handles business operations on the front ofce side.

David is an avid sports fan and is founder and part owner of the Austin Aztex soccer team which won the 2013 national championship for the USL Premier Development League. He volunteered as CEO for the franchise from 2011 through 2014, and previously was a founder and co-owner of a professional team by the same name prior to its relocation to Orlando, FL following the 2010 season. David played club soccer for his university, volunteered as coach for at risk youth in East Austin, served as coordinator for six soccer camps, helped start two children’s leagues, and is a board member for Sports Quest soccer training.

Markley served as VP, Technology Development for Fallbrook Technologies Inc. through May 2015, and then supported Fallbrook on a contract basis. As a founding member of the company in 2004, he initially had primary responsibility for tactical operations and helped increase the valuation of the company from $10M to over $125M in three years in his role as Director of Engineering.

Soccer Operations Manager Prior to his afliation with Fallbrook, David was a Program Manager for BAE Systems, where his laser guided missile design team was recognized with Gold and Silver corporate Chairman’s Awards for Innovation. Prior to employment at BAE Systems, David performed First Season analysis and test of military aircraft for General Dynamics. As Communications Manager, Petri is responsible for handling all local and national media requests involving players, coaching staf and front ofce personnel as well as all SAFC publicity eforts and facilitating player community appearances.

Prior to joining the SAFC, Petri spent two seasons as the Communications Manager for SS&E property, the . Prior to that, he was the Director of Media Relations and Social Media for the San Antonio Scorpions of the North American Soccer League. He spent the majority of the 2012-13 NBA season with the New Orleans Hornets as a Communications Assistant.

His resume also includes working in media relations with the New York Yankees and of Major League , as well as with KTRS Sports Radio in Saint Louis, Missouri.

Tim Holt serves as Managing Director of San Antonio FC (SAFC), where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Spurs Sports & Entertainment owned professional soccer club. SAFC is entering its inaugural season in the USL and hosts its games at the purpose-built Toyota Field.

Holt arrived in San Antonio in January 2016 after a stint at Orlando City SC which he joined during its inaugural (MLS) season as Vice President of Development. His immediate impact with the highly successful expansion team was marked by expansion of both the club and brand through the creation and launch of two new professional soccer franchises, Orlando Pride of the NWSL & of the USL. Additionally, he played a leadership role on behalf of the club within the local organizing group (along with the City of Orlando & Central Florida Sports Commission) which successfully delivered the prestigious 2016 Copa America Centenario for Orlando. Holt also represented Orlando City on the Florida Sports Foundation Board of Directors, and as Board Chairman for OCYS, Orlando City’s 2,000+ member local youth soccer club.

Prior to his time with Orlando City, Holt served as an executive with the (USL) since 1999 including as its President from 2009-2015. In the previous decade, Holt served USL in the various capacities of Executive Vice President, Chief Operating SAFC Managing Director Ofcer, and Director of Pro League Operations. Holt was a key fgure in establishing the afliation partnership between the USL and MLS that has become the critical platform for and SS&E Vice President professional player development in the United States and Canada. Under the period of his leadership, the USL blossomed into the largest system of elite soccer leagues in North America with over 100 franchises and several hundred youth team members.

Holt has been repeatedly recognized as one of the leading executives in domestic soccer including having been named one of Soccer America’s ‘Rising Stars’ in 2006 recognizing the top American soccer executives under the age of 35, as well as being recognized by SI.com in 2013 as one of “The 50 Most Powerful People in U.S. Soccer.” Throughout his career, Holt has been active within the US Soccer Federation leadership serving numerous years on its Board of Directors, US Open Cup Committee, Professional Council, Appeals Committee, and Credentials Committee. Additionally, he is a long-time member of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) and served as the Men’s Pro representative on its Board of Directors until 2010.

As a youth player, Holt was part of the respected FC DELCO youth club in suburban Philadelphia where, upon graduating from Penn State University, he returned to work for the club in the mid-1990s launching, coordinating, and operating a 200+ team annual national youth soccer tournament. As a scholastic player at Radnor High School (PA), Holt still ranks amongst the school’s all-time top leading scorers and is a member of the Radnor Soccer Hall of Fame. Holt holds a USSF national coaching license, and has coached at both the elite youth club and scholastic levels. Holt lives in San Antonio with his wife Sara and children Jagger, Roman and Ellesyn.

Regular Season Champions The team with the best record across both conferences at the end of the season will earn the 2016 USL Regular Season Title.

Seeding The 2016 USL Playof format shall be a 16-team playof. The top eight teams from each conference make the playofs. The teams are seeded 1-8 within each conference based on how many points they accumulated during the season. Tiebreakers will be used if necessary.

Playofs The Playofs will see a single-elimination bracket crown two conference champions. The two confer- ence champions will advance to the 2016 USL Championship. The playof matches shall be a single leg with the team with higher seed hosting the playof game. The playof bracket shall be fxed and there will be no reseeding.

Silver & Black Give Back is a 501(c)(3) public charity that began in 1988 when the Spurs were the only team in the Spurs Sports & Entertainment family. The Summer Team Up Challenge is a youth-led service learning program that gives students a chance to apply learning to the real world, away from the classroom. It connects life experiences with curriculum, bringing education alive in powerful ways.

Over the course of the past three years students in the Team Up Challenge have volunteered over 13,000 hours, fed over 4,000 children, rescued over 100 stray animals, launched a safe driving campaign for teenagers and an anti-bullying campaign for all ages, implemented a recycling program at their school and more.

50 SAN ANTONIO FC SUPPORTERS GROUPS 2016 SAFC Supporters Groups THE CROCKETTEERS The Crocketteers are an independent soccer supporters group based in San Antonio, Texas. The group was founded in March of 2009 by Michael Macias. By uniting soccer fans under one banner, the idea behind the group is to grow a strong membership base in the name of San Antonio professional soccer. As membership numbers rise, the city of San Antonio will rise above the rest in contention for an MLS franchise.

The Crocketteers have built their brand to honor the heroes of the Battle of the Alamo. Their motto is simply “Victory or Death” as written by William B. Travis during their 13 days of glory defending San Antonio’s most important landmark, the Alamo.

The Crocketteers’ mission has always been – and will continue to be – to promote the sport of soccer in San Antonio and to promote and support San Antonio FC.

MISSION CITY 118 Misson City 118 is an independent football organization whose mission is to give 100% of our support to San Antonio FC.

They strongly believe in professional football here in San Antonio. The founders began with an idea the day pro soccer came to San Antonio. The group has grown considerably since then and have acquired key sponsorship from Lone Star Beer, GLI Distributing, McFinnigans Irish Pub, Bull McCabe’s Pub in Austin with more to come.

Based on our organization’s values and commitment to service, the POSSE ofers all staf members and partners opportunities to volunteer in the greater San Antonio area. POSSE members are living demonstrations of our core values of integrity, success, and caring.

Each month staf have multiple opportunities to serve our community through POSSE projects. Last year alone, the POSSE partnered with organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, City of San Antonio, Haven for Hope, San Antonio Food Bank, City Year, Brook Army Medical Center, and many more.

To honor the top 20 employees in annual volunteer POSSE hours, SS&E makes a monetary donation to the charity of their choice.

SAN ANTONIO SPURS In the summer of 1973, a group of local investors leased the Dallas Chaparrals and relocated the team to San Antonio. Midway through their frst season in the Alamo City, the group purchased the team outright and the Spurs have been a mainstay in San Antonio culture ever since. The Silver and Black played their frst three seasons in the ABA before joining the NBA in the summer of 1976, along with the Nets, Nuggets and Pacers.

Over the last 18 years, the Spurs have enjoyed a tremendous amount of success. Since joined the team in 1997-98 the Spurs have captured fve NBA Championships and have posted the best regular season of any team in the four major U.S. sports (MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL). During that time, San Antonio has posted the NBA’s best record fve times (1998-99, 2000-01, 2002-03, 2011-12 and 2013-14) and has won 11 division titles. The Spurs record during that span ranks as the best 18-year run of any team in league history. SAN ANTONIO RAMPAGE The San Antonio Rampage celebrates its 14th season in 2015-16 and serves as the top American Hockey League afliate of the Colorado Avalanche following an agreement announced on April 17, 2015. The Rampage will serve the top afliate of the Avalanche for the next fve years. San Antonio has previously been afliated with the (2002-05 and 2011-15) and the then-Phoenix Coyotes (2005-11).

The Rampage are one of 30 AHL teams competing for the , and over the course of a 76-game schedule, will face 14 diferent opponents, all from the league’s Western Conference. The Rampage will face their in-state rivals the 14 times (seven home, seven away) while welcoming fve new opponents in the newly-formed Pacifc Division. San Antonio will face the Bakersfeld Condors, Ontario (CA) Reign, Gulls, and six times each, including three matchups with each division opponent inside the friendly confnes of the AT&T Center.

The Rampage fnished the 2014-15 campaign 45-23-7-1, completing a record-breaking season in which they set franchise records for wins (45), goals (248) and points (98) in a season while capturing their frst-ever West Division Championship. San Antonio also set a record for the longest winning streak in franchise history, as they won nine games straight from Mar. 14-Apr. 2. The Silver and Black boasted one of the league’s most prolifc ofenses, ranking second in scoring with an average of 3.26 goals per game.

Forward Bobby Butler ranked in the top 20 of the AHL in scoring, fnishing with 27 goals and 32 assists, American Hockey League and Connor Brickley ranked sixth among the league’s rookies with 47 points (22G, 25A). San Antonio annually ranks as one of the AHL’s top teams in attendance, having placed among the top seven in the league for each of the last fve seasons. The Silver and Black drew and average of 6,579 fans per game for the 2014-15 campaign, which ranked seventh in the American Hockey League.

The Rampage held its ffth annual Pink in the Rink game on Feb. 7, drawing 13,125 fans to a come- from-behind win over the . Between a jersey auction and additional fundraisers by the Rampage Wives and Girlfriends, the Rampage raised $44,560 for breast health awareness and research eforts.

San Antonio continued its Face Of Against Kids Cancer program for the sixth straight season. The program pairs Rampage players with kids from the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio who are in various stages of cancer treatment or in remission. The team participated in a series of activities in order to raise awareness for childhood cancer in the community while forging lasting relationships. A jersey auction during the annual Face Of Against Kids Cancer game honoring the program participants raised more than $15,000 for the Face Of Against Kids Cancer Program and the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio.

In operation since 1936, the American Hockey League continues to serve as the top development league for the players, coaches, managers, executives, broadcasters and staf of all 30 teams. More than 88 percent of today’s NHL players are American Hockey League graduates, and for the 14th year in a row, more than 6 million fans attended AHL games across North America in 2014-15. Through the years, the AHL has been home to more than 100 future members of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

DEA N CHYNOWETH Dean Chynoweth (shin-OWTH) enters his frst season as the head coach of the San Antonio Rampage and his fourth leading the AHL afliate of the Colorado Avalanche. He spent the last three seasons as the head coach of the Lake Erie Monsters, where he led the team to a 35-29-8-4 record during the 2014- 15 campaign.

Head Coach Chynoweth spent the prior three seasons (2009-12) as an assistant coach for the NHL’s New York Islanders. Before that, the native served as head coach in Canada’s for nine seasons, fve with the Swift Current Broncos (2004-09) and four with the Seattle Thunderbirds (2000-04). Chynoweth also served as general manager for Swift Current. His frst stint on the bench was with the of the International Hockey League, where he served as assistant coach for two seasons (1998-00).

A defenseman, Chynoweth was selected 13th overall by the New York Islanders in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. He went on to play parts of nine seasons in the NHL, recording a total of four goals, 18 assists and 667 penalty minutes in 241 games. Chynoweth played for both the Islanders (1988-96) and the Boston Bruins (1996-98). He also spent time in the AHL and IHL during his professional career.

AUSTIN SPURS With the 2014-15 season bringing a new name change and a new partnership with SWBC, the Austin Spurs were ready to take on the year behind Head Coach Ken McDonald.

Coach McDonald led the team to a 32-18 regular season record and a Southwest Division Championship title. Making a deep playof run, the coaching staf piloted the players to the Western Conference fnals, where they fell to the in a decisive game three, 83-97. Returning player JaMychal Green was a crucial component in the early season success of the team. Playing 21 games with Austin, the 6-8 forward averaged 21.9 points, 10.4 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game, earning 15 -doubles and leading the team to a 22-9 record. On January 18th, Green signed a 10-day contract with the San Antonio Spurs. After not re-signing with San Antonio, Green signed two ten-day contracts (Feb. 2 & Feb 19th) with the . On March 2nd, JaMychal signed a multi-year contract with Memphis.

San Antonio Spurs afliate Bryce Cotton proved to be an essential asset to Austin’s roster. Playing and starting in 34 games with the team, the former Providence College guard led the entire D-League in minutes played (40.5), claimed ffth in the league in points scored, averaging 22.4 points per game, and placed ffth in three-point feld goal shooting percentage (44.3 percent).

The San Antonio Spurs assigned rookie Kyle Anderson to the Austin Spurs for 26 games during the 2014-15 regular season. During his time with Austin, Anderson averaged 21.3 points (6th best), 8.7 rebounds (19th best) and 4.8 assists (16th best) per game, earning 11 double-doubles in the regular NBA D-Lea gu e season.

McDonald has also served as head coach at Western Kentucky University (2008-11), where he led the team to the Sun Belt Regular Season Championship and Sun Belt Tournament Championship (2009). HEAD COACH McDonald spent four seasons (2008-2012) as an assistant coach at the University of Texas under Head Coach Rick Barnes, who he has considered his mentor during his coaching career. In addition to guiding the Longhorns to four straight NCAA Tournament appearances, he also helped the team reach a 106-35 (.752) record throughout the four seasons he was with the team, which is still ranked as the most victories in a four-year period in school history. McDonald has also served as an assistant coach at the University of Georgia (2003-04), Western Kentucky University (1998-2003) and Clemson University (1994-98). He graduated from Providence College, where he played shooting guard (1991-92), before playing professionally for the St. Paul Revelles in Ireland (1993-94). While playing at the Community College of Rhode Island (1989-90) prior to transferring to Providence, McDonald was a frst-team Junior College All-American and set school records for single-season scoring (754 points) and 3-pointers made in a game (9) and season (109). McDonald was born and raised in Providence, R.I. He has one daughter, Ella, who was born in 2008.

AT&T CENTER As the premier entertainment venue in South Texas, the AT&T Center opened in November of 2002. The AT&T Center was built by the initiatives of a public-private venture amongst Bexar County, the Coliseum Advisory Board, the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo and Spurs Sports & Entertainment.

The facility hosts four anchor tenants: the NBA Spurs, the AHL Rampage, the WNBA Stars and the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Additionally, the venue attracts a multitude of concerts, family shows and special events. In 10 years of operation, the AT&T Center has hosted over 1,000 events with entertaining in excess of 15 million guests. George Strait, the Rolling Stones, Billy Joel & Elton John, The Police, Luciano Pavarotti, George Lopez, Cirque du Soleil, Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, and Bon Jovi are just a few of the musical acts that have visited the AT&T Center. Other events include NCAA Basketball, WWE Royal Rumble, Walking with Dinosaurs, and the Harlem Globetrotters.

The AT&T Center ofers diverse events to the San Antonio community and all of South Texas thanks in part to its various seating capabilities, building confgurations, curtaining system and technology upgrades. Confgurations from an ice show, to basketball, to rodeo, to boxing, to theater can all be accomplished at the AT&T Center. Complementing every event held at the venue is a 360 in-arena LED ring, four video/scoring panels to the Scoreboard, two Lobby LED Color Matrix displays and over six hundred LCD HDTVs throughout the arena.

In April of 2015, SS&E announced the planned 100+ million dollar renovations of the AT&T Center, beginning in the summer of 2015. Technology enhancements to the AT&T Center are a key area of focus and technology updates will be visibly prevalent arena-wide with the installation of high defnition televisions and LED signage throughout the arena. The addition of LED displays to the NE, SE and SW ticket towers and East Main Entrance will give the exterior a striking new look and provide the ability to showcase game action, event highlights and promotional messaging. The centerpiece of the technology updates will be the installation of a brand new center-hung video board that will provide a state-of-the-art, high-defnition display and have more than four times the viewable area of the previous board. A new audio system and improved Wi-Fi capabilities round out the technology enhancements that will help elevate and create a more immersive fan experience.

The AT&T Center will receive all new seating arena-wide and infrastructure improvements will include expanded and updated concourses and enhancements to the arena entrances. There will be something new for everyone at all levels of the AT&T Center.

TOYOTA FIELD Toyota Field is a soccer-specifc stadium in San Antonio, Texas, United States. Located next to , and adjacent to the STAR Soccer Complex, the facility opened on April 13, 2013. The stadium is the home of San Antonio FC and has a capacity of 8,250 for soccer matches. The stadium is expandable to 18,000+ seating capacity. Toyota Motor Corporation currently holds the sponsor naming rights for the facility.

Toyota Field was originally owned and operated by S.O.A.R. Inc., a non-proft organization founded by San Antonio philanthropist Gordon Hartman. Construction of Toyota Field ran from February 2012 through April 2013. On April 13, 2013, the San Antonio Scorpions of the NASL started play at Toyota Field in a match against the .

Toyota Field was host of , where the Scorpions claimed their frst and only NASL championship over the Fort Lauderdale Strikers, 2-1.

In November 2015, the City of San Antonio and Bexar County jointly acquired the stadium for $18 million. Spurs Sports & Entertainment (SS&E) paid an additional $3 million to Hartman, bringing the total purchase price of the facility to $21 million. SS&E received an initial 20 year lease to operate the facility with a new professional soccer team. Toyota Field will be host to San Antonio’s USL franchise, San Antonio FC, starting play in April of 2016.

Toyota Field was designed by San Antonio architecture frm, Pro Sports Developments (PSD), which is the sports entertainment division of Luna Architecture and Design. The stadium was designed as a soccer-specifc stadium, to strategically expand to upwards of 18,000 seats in 3 total phases and to accommodate UIL, NCAA, MLS and FIFA standard international soccer events. The design also accommodates lacrosse, American football, boxing and concerts.

The soccer feld playing surface was designed and built by sports feld contractor Texas Multi-Chem, of Kerrville, Texas. The feld’s natural grass surface is TifSport hybrid Bermuda and the root zone consists of an 8” layer of USGA sand and Dakota peat. The feld also contains an internal drainage system to help avoid rain outs.

In addition, photographers are asked to observe USL guidelines. MEDIA ENTRANCE AND PARKING The media entrance is located at the Northwest entrance of Toyota Field. All media members must enter the building through this entrance. USL and SAFC season passes will be honored and single-game credentials will be available at the will call desk for pickup. The press doors open two hours prior to kick-of. For those media members who receive season parking privileges, the media parking is located in Lot 2 across from the Northwest entrance. Media covering SAFC on a game-by-game basis can request a parking pass along with their single-game credential. MEDIA WORKROOM The media workroom is located in the back of the press box, behind the operations booth and is only accessible with a valid credential. The room opens two hours prior to game time. The professional intent of the media workroom is to provide a working area for writers, photographers, broadcasters and game personnel. Family members and guests will not be admitted. Any abuse of the media workroom and/or press privleges will result in forfeiture of credentials. The media workroom is equipped with electrical outlets and Wif access.

MEDIA SEATING Reserved media seating has been designated along press row in the outdoor seating section of the press box. All seats are reserved for each individual media member. Seating charts, if applicable, will be posted on display throughout the press box. Electrical outlets are placed on press row for your convenience. Statistics will be distributed after the game. Media are asked to fnish and fle stories in the media workroom to facilitate changeover at Toyota Field.

Post-Game: Club locker rooms will be opened to accredited media no later than 10 minutes following the conclusion of the match. A member of the club’s communications staf must be present.
