Sponsored by th 28 ACI AFRICA 12-18 October 2019 Accra - Ghana Annual General Assembly & Regional Conference and Exhibition About the Host Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) commenced operations in January 2007 with a responsibility for planning, developing, managing and maintaining all airports in Ghana inclu- ding Kotoka International Airport and five domestic airports namely Kumasi, Sunyani, Tamale, Ho and Wa airport. In the last decade and more, GACL has made significant infrastructural investments aimed at transforming and modernizing operations at all its airports leading to an overall increase in the operational capacity and efficiency. Currently, Kotoka International Airport is served by 36 airlines and has an annual passenger throughput of over 2.3 million, up from 1 million in 2007. GACL has recently completed its iconic terminal, terminal 3, at Kotoka International Airport. Terminal 3, built on approximately 150,000 m2 land area, is designed to handle 5 million passengers per annum and process 1,250 passengers per hour. It consists of six (6) fixed bridges, three (3) business class lounges, fully automated baggage system, a commercially important passenger terminal and 7000 m2 of commercial and retail areas.
