After leaving the M48 at the Chepstow Severn Bridge Junction, travel up the ‘link’ road (approx. 1 mile) to the main Chepstow roundabout. Then turn left and follow the A48 towards Newport/Caldicot, past the St. Pierre & Country Golf, until you get to the B4245 at the next roundabout (about 3 or so miles from Chepstow). Then follow this road to the next roundabout, our Industrial Estate is in front of you and Castle Gate (large brown building - WAS Mitel) is on your left. Turn left at the roundabout, towards Portskewett, and then take the first right (about 100 metres after the roundabout), directly in front of a car dealership. We are the last building on the LHS of that road. From M4 East Bound (from Cardiff direction) Leave the M4 at the Magor junction (Jn 23A) and follow signs for the B4245 to Magor/Caldicot. Travel through Magor, then Rogiet until reaching the outskirts of Caldicot (about 4 or so miles from the M4, Jn23A). Follow the road around the outskirts of Caldicot (through a few sets of traffic lights) until reaching a roundabout on the other side of Caldicot. Our Industrial Estate is on the RHS and Castle Gate (large brown building - WAS Mitel) is in front of you. Turn right at the roundabout, towards Portskewett, and then take the first right (about 100 metres after the roundabout), directly in front of a car dealership. We are the last building on the LHS of that road..

Go through gate and right to follow the Wales Coastal Path to Sudbrook DISTANCE 3 miles / 5 kilometres 2 Just past the pumping station in Sudbrook, turn left across the old railway line, then turn left again on Camp Road 3 There are seats, by the Chapel ruins, a handy resting place with a view TIME 1 hour 30 mins 4 Follow the Wales Coastal Path round the camp rampart. Shortly afterwards, leave the coast path and turn right across a foot- ball field to a gap in the rampart GRADE 5 Pass through the rampart, pass a play area to your left and follow the track back to the main road Easy, no stiles, one foot- 6 Turn left on Sudbrook Road and follow it until you come to some traffic lights. Turn right through a gate, cross the field bridge with steps 7 Pass an electricity pylon on your left and go through a gate into the next field. Severn Estuary Shoreline Management Plan What does it mean for planning in Monmouthshire? Coastal planning Welsh Ministers are responsible for planning policy in Wales. Welsh planning policy is contained in Planning Policy Wales (PPW) and Minerals Planning Policy Wales (MPPW) with practical advice and support in Technical Advice Notes (TANs), clarification letters and other guidance issued by the Welsh Government. Chapter 5 of Planning Policy Wales, TAN 14 (Coastal Planning) and TAN 15 (Development and Flood Risk) provide guidance on planning in coastal areas and other areas at risk of flooding. All three documents make reference to Shoreline Management Plans (SMPs) and the need to take SMPs into account in local authority plan making and development control to take account of the risk from physical changes and risks at the coast. The Welsh Government National Strategy for Flood and Coastal Erosion Risk Management recognises that it is not possible to completely prevent flooding or stop coastal erosion. Written evidence submitted by David Redgewell (MRS0487) Please find our evidence on public transport network in south west England during the COVID-19 emergency. Our bus network has been maintained by COVID-19 bus operators grant at £400 million set at £17 pounds a week in England. Here in south west England transport users groups, LGBTQ groups, disability and BME groups have worked together with regional transport companies First Group, operator of the south west bus and rail network under brand such as First Bristol buses, Bath buses, the buses of Somerset, Wessex buses in Dorset. Kernow buses in Cornwall and the First Group rail services under First Great Western Railway and South Western Railway. We have also worked with Stagecoach West and South West and Go South Coast, Plymouth City bus and transport for Cornwall. We have been working with TravelWatch, Southwest Rail Future, Severnside, Wessex and south west. We have been involved in zoom meetings in Greater Bristol and Bath to discuss bus service provision to Hospitals in the region for disabled people, social distancing on buses and the use of wheelchair space on trains and buses. We worked with the Bristol Mayor Transport Board to restore train service on the Severn Beach Line to get access to chemists, banks and supermarkets at Clifton Down Station and Gloucester Road from communities in Severn Beach, Avonmouth, Shirehampton Sea Mills, Clifton Down, Redland and Montpellier to access food shopping, post offices and banks. The day time shopping service have been restored. We have still got concerns about bus service provision to Southmead Hospital in Bristol and the new Nightingale Hospital to from Bath Spa bus station and Kingswood to new Nightingale Hospital and Bristol Parkway Station.
