The Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) is developing site-specific numeric water quality criteria for Arkansas lakes and reservoirs. Because of its importance to all Arkansans, ADEQ selected Beaver Lake as the prototype for developing site-specific, numeric water quality criteria to protect the designated uses of this waterbody and subsequently other lakes and reservoirs throughout Arkansas.
