APPENDIX 2a: RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING AND TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE (under powers delegated to them by the Court of Common Council on 19 July 2001) DATED the twentieth day of November 2018. WHEREAS the Mayor and Commonalty and Citizens of the City of London acting by the Planning and Transportation Committee pursuant to the delegation to that Committee specified above (hereinafter called “the City”) are authorized by section 6 of the City of London (Various Powers) Act 1967 (as amended) (hereinafter called “the Act”) BY RESOLUTION TO DECLARE any way or place in the City of London appearing to the City (i) to be laid out or otherwise suitable for a city walkway within the meaning of section 5 of the Act, (ii) to which access is available directly from a street or another way or place that is a city walkway, and (iii) which is laid out or rendered suitable for a city walkway in accordance with one of the provisions specified in subsection (1) of the said section 6 TO BE A CITY WALKWAY as from such date as may be specified in such resolution AND WHEREAS the City are further authorized by the said section 6, by resolution, to vary or rescind any resolution declaring a city walkway AND WHEREAS it appears to the City that the resolution made by them on 17 July 1986 (hereinafter called “the 17 July 1986 Resolution”) as varied by the resolution made by them on 31 March 2008 (hereinafter called “the 31 March 2008 Resolution”), and the resolution made by them on 2 April 1998 (hereinafter called “the First 2 April 1998 Resolution”), and the resolution made by them on 2 April 1998 (hereinafter called “the Second 2 April 1998 Resolution”) should be rescinded NOW THEREFORE the City in pursuance of section 6(5) of the Act by resolution HEREBY RESCINDS the 17 July 1986 Resolution as varied by the 31 March 2008 Resolution; and the First 2 April 1998 Resolution; and the Second 2 April 1998 Resolution to discontinue the city walkways described in the Schedule hereto on and after the [to be inserted by the Transport Planning and Development Manager] day of [to be inserted by the Transport Planning and Development Manager]. SCHEDULE ALL THOSE ways or places from Broad Street House over the city walkway bridge over Wormwood Street to the southern side of Wormwood Street via the staircase more particularly shown hatched in red on city walkway variation plan CWVP-01-08 as “Area of existing City walkway to remain from declaration of City walkway 30 October 1986” attached hereto; and at podium level at 99 Bishopsgate between the city walkway staircase on the southern side of Wormwood Street and the city walkway at podium level at 55 Bishopsgate more particularly shown in pink on city walkway declaration plan C.W.D.P.–1–98 attached hereto; and at podium level at 55 Bishopsgate between the city walkway at 99 Bishopsgate and the pavilion units at Tower 42 at 25 Old Broad Street more particularly shown in pink on city walkway declaration plan C.W.D.P.–2–98 attached hereto Dated THE COMMON SEAL OF THE MAYOR AND COMMONALTY AND CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF LONDON was hereunto affixed in the presence of: Authorized Officer Guildhall LONDON EC2P 2EJ.
