NHS Hospital, Clinical Support Division Cardiac Clinical Physiologist Lead Specialist in Echocardiography

37.5 per week, Permanent Band 7: £37,570 to £44,688

NHS Highland Cardiology Department provides specialist cardiac services including Cardiac catheterisation, PCI, pacemaker and ICD implantation, as well as a full range of cardiac diagnostic tests.

We are looking to recruit an individual to be part of the echocardiography team, working in the hospitals new echo suite using full digital archiving facilities. Services include adult and paediatric echo, TOEs, contrast and 3D studies. Your contribution to the service will be tailored to your experience and interests and could include highly specialist areas such as Contrast Echo, Sonographer led outpatient clinics, training, paediatric echo or one-stop services. There is also the opportunity to carry out other cardiac diagnostics performed within the Clinical Physiology service to maintain or develop your cardiac physiology knowledge.

You should hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology (cardiology); although an equivalent qualification along with suitable knowledge training and experience may be acceptable. You should hold BSE accreditation, although newly qualified/inexperienced echocardiographers are also encouraged to apply as in- house training could be provided to develop a suitable candidate into the post.
