What’s PLEASE RECYCLE AFTER USE chi.ac.uk/events On September 2020 to January 2021 Photo credit: Andrew Worsfold. Welcome to Showcase Autumn 2020

Our Autumn 2020 edition of Showcase includes news from a student cruise ship performer (who had a great time and did get home) and amazing and undaunted digital musical theatre and dance. You can also read about our plans to celebrate two really important musical anniversaries: in 2020-21 we enter the second year of our exciting collaboration with the Hanover Band, continuing our journey through the all the Beethoven symphonies. And the Sleepy Lagoon embark on a scarcely less majestic canon, touring the full repertoire of James Bond to coincide with the release of Bond 25. There’s a fascinating glimpse of a new way to aim high from our USA conquering Twirlmania champion, and this edition’s Tutor in Focus is percussionist Matt Fisher – veteran (but still with his original hair) of Glastonbury, WOMAD and the London Festival. Most excitingly of all, we’re adding to our reach this year by live streaming all our on-campus (and some off-campus) performances, so more people in more places can see more fantastic stuff.

University of Chichester Conservatoire is one of the largest performance communities in the UK. Have a look at the ensembles, workshops, masterclasses, and the massive range of musical, dance, and theatrical shows happening on our two campuses and elsewhere in outside venues across the region. At time of going to press we hope that we will be able to run all our events with a full audience, and live streaming them as well means we’re covering our bets, and that more people can watch too. For more about these events, as well as the latest news from our aspiring actors, dancers and musicians, visit our listings page chi.ac.uk/events.
