102.9 WMGK-FM Is Owned by Greater Philadelphia Radio, Inc., A John, Paul, George & Ringo 'Hang Around' at MGK's Beatles Art Show See rare artwork created by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr at the Montgomery Mall in North Wales Bala Cynwyd, PA (November 28, 2012): Classic Rock 102.9 'MGK is proud to present the ultimate exhibit for the "Beatlemaniac" on anyone's shopping list, the Classic Rock 102.9 'MGK Beatles Art Show & Sale, Friday December 7 through Monday December 24 at the Montgomery Mall (Intersection of Route 309 and Route 202 in North Wales, PA 19454). Fifty years after they released their first single in England (“Love Me Do”), The Beatles continue to be the most celebrated group in Rock history. MGK's Beatles Art Show is a celebration of both the music and art of the John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison & Ringo Starr. In addition to being the only art show in the world that has artwork hand signed by all four Beatles, the MGK Beatles Art Show boasts a large collection of rare artwork created by Lennon, McCartney, Harrison & Starr, as well as famous Beatles photographs, album cover lithographs and one-of-a-kind Beatles animation. The exhibit will also feature related works from friends and influences of the band, including the Rolling Stones. All works are available to purchase. Items range in price from as low as $5 to as high as $10,000. Admission to the Art Show is free of charge. This year's show will feature a live broadcast from MGK's internationally recognized Beatles expert, Andre Gardner (weekdays 2p-7p), as well as special appearances from Beatles animator Ron Campbell. Campbell will appear at the exhibit space on Friday December 14, Saturday December 15 and Sunday, December 16 at times yet to be determined. Ron was the Director of the Saturday Morning Beatles Cartoon series in the 60s and one of the animators for the film Yellow Submarine. In addition to his Beatles past, Ron has been involved with a number of other cartoon series including Scooby Doo, the Smurfs, Rugrats,George of the Jungle, The Jetsons, The Flintstones, Winnie the Pooh and dozens more. Exhibit hours and Exact location: The WMGK Beatles Art Show & Sale hours are Monday through Saturday from 10a to 9p and Sunday from 11a to 6pm. The exhibit space is located on the mall’s Lower Level between Delia's and Finish Line right near Dick's Sporting Goods.
