BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF EvENT La Ronde Tahitienne (The Tahi- tian Tour) is a timed cyclosportive road cycling event organized by the Vélo Club de Tahiti et des îles (The Cyclist Club of Tahiti and the Islands) that is included in the schedule of ’s big events. La Ronde Tahitienne 4th annual Sunday May 31 2015 La Ronde CYCLOSPORT Tahitienne, IS A DISCIPLINE 3 OPTIONS expanding all over the world La GRANDE Ronde Cyclosportive events (or cyclosport) fuse bike touring and cycling competitions through 1 110 km/68 mi grand tour offering several options for all the cyclists. In this vein, the organizers provide race bibs, rankings and timekeeping, similar to a marathon. In , there are more La petite ronde than 150 races of this type. The oldest and most famous is the Marmotte, created in 2 50 km/31mi short tour the Alps and that draws more than 8,000 participants. The most popular is the Étape La ronde loisir du Tour Mondovélo, which attracts 10,000 participants every year. Pass the Pirae City Hall, go through the RIMAP roundabout and continue towards Taravao. Turn around at Faratea (Taiarapu-East commune) to return to the velo- drome through passing in front of the Pirae City Hall. Arrival is determined after a half-lap around the velodrome. Among the unique qualities of La Ronde Tahitienne (The Tahitian Tour), which will hold its fourth annual edition Sunday, May 31 on the East Coast of Tahiti, each competitor will receive a cycling jersey upon registration.
