The 2010/11 year has been a successful one continuing on from recent years under the stewardship of our former Chairman, Kevin Campbell, whom I must sincerely commend for handing the organisation on in such a fine state. As you will note from the financial statements that follow, we have continued to improve our financial position with a modest but handy surplus. Whilst a surplus is always nice, Football West is about much more than that. It allows us to trade through the lean times without the need for an overdraft facility. The breadth and extent of some our various programs never ceases to amaze me. Whilst on the subject of finances, the Board and I continue to be aware of the increasing cost of playing sport, and this season we were pleased to be able to put a freeze on the fees you pay to be part of the World game. -
