Hok Lundy Faked His Death and Is Still Alive! Hok Lundy faked his death and is still alive! Every Cambodian people in all the classes of Khmer society, felt fear, were frighten and scared every day that they live in the cage of torture, murder, and terrorism, led by Hok Lundy, Hun Sen and Hanoi government. When Cambodian people heard that Hok Lundy died in the helicopter explosion on November 9, 2008, this news made every Cambodian person feel happy until they have forgotten to analyze that Death. of course, Hok Lundy faked his death and is still alive, living in Hanoi capital in Vietnam. He is living in the richest life and he always goes and comes into Cambodia freely. Why did we dare to confirm that Hok Lundy is still alive and faked death? Why does Hanoi’s government need to make the play by the faked death of Hok Lundy? I-The truth that Hok Lundy is faked death: 1-Sources of high rank figures and officials of CPP who always felt hatred toward Hun Sen, affirmed that they saw Hok Lundy in Hanoi capital of Vietnam and he always goes and comes into Cambodia. 2-Khiev Kanharith, government spokesman, at about 10:30 PM (Cambodia time) on Noverber 9, 2008. Khiev Kanharith confirmed that 4-star general Hok Lundy died during the helicopter crash incident while traveling from Phnom Penh to Svay Rieng during a private trip in a private helicopter. Why does Khiev Kanharith know that Hok Lundy died in the helicopter’s explosion? http://ki-media.blogspot.com/2008/11/hok-lundys-chopper-hit-by-lightning-hun.html 1 I expressed that the habit of Hok Lundy was to never allowed another person to know if he goes and comes or doing something, even though his wife Men-Chanthou too, and Hok Lundy’s bodyguards are Vietnamese Black shirt Dead Squad, who he had trusted on them, can be near him. This showed that it’s a drama of CPP, Hun Sen, and Hanoi government who play game to be the faked death of Hok Lundy. 3-Cambodian National Independence Festival on November 9, 2008, so, Hok Lundy is the president of the Cambodian National General-Police Commissioner who was responsible for protecting the national security in the Festival of Cambodian National Independence. That Hok Lundy did not leave Phnom Penh and the helicopter was not explosion by lightning, but the helicopter’s explosion because of auto-remote-Bomb, so the explosion making the helicopter broken into pieces. No one knew who are the death bodies of the helicopter’s explosion, because the death’s bodies become the small piece of meat like the cook chopped into pieces to make food. Why did CPP and Hun Sen dared to proclaim that there was Hok Lundy among 4 people who died in helicopter’s explosion? 4-Phnom Penh’s government hasn’t allowed the international agents to investigate the crime’s scene of the helicopter’s explosion and they didn’t allow F-B-I (USA) to investigate the crime’s scene too. These mean that CPP and HUN SENplayed game of Hok Lundy’s faked death. 2 5-Power of Hok Lundy’s son, closed men and bodyguards are still strong power in Cambodian government. Communists always competed with each other to seize the monopolized power in their hand. For example, after Lenin died in Soviet Union, Stalin took the best time to massacre and purge Trotsky and his followers and then Stalin took the monopolized power in his hand. In China, Mao Tse Tung killed Liu Shaoqi (head of state) and Lin Pao (army commander) and their followers, then Mao Tse Tung hold the monopolized power in his hand. How about Hok Lundy died? If Hok Lundy is really died, why Dy Vichea has strong power in Cambodia and he dare to couple both Hun Sen’s daughter and Hun Neng’s daughters too, in other way, the followers and bodyguards of Hok Lundy have more and more power than before such these? Hun Sen was always jealous Hok Lundy having the black shirt death squad bodyguards and Hun Sen asked Hanoi’s government gave him the black shirt death bodyguards too. How about today, if Hok Lundy die, How can Hun Sen do to hold the power in Cambodia, may he will massacre Hok Lundy’s followers and family, but he don’t do that, this mean that Hok Lundy is behind the political scene of Hun Sen under the plot of Hanoi government. http://ki-media.blogspot.com/2013/03/blog-post_4985.html II-Reasons that Hanoi’s government need to make the drama of the faked death of Hok Lundy: 1-To wash and bury the crimes of Hun Sen Hanoi government relating to the terrorism, murder, human trafficking, illegal drug- trafficking and the crimes against the humanity done by Hun Sen Hanoi government. Cambodia become the hell under the control of Hanoi’s government that using the torture, murder, and terrorism to rule the daily life activities of Cambodian people strictly in their hand. In the past, every crimes are done by Hok Lundy, who was the president of Backy’s secret criminal organization, Black shirt death’s 3 squad and co-founder of the Secret criminal organization of Special Organization of Youths (S.O.Y) with Hun Sen, Chea Sim, and Chea Sophara , that these secret criminal organizations have always killed many Cambodian people and politicians including steal, rob, kidnap, murder, and terrorism, such as the terrorism using hand-grenades attach on Cambodian civil demonstration in front of former-National Assembly building on 30, March 1997, killed Mr. Ho Sok, Mr.Chao Sambath, Mr.Chea Rithy Chhut, poison Mr.Sak Sutsakorn, Mr.Prom Vith, Mr.Thu Thon, killed Mr.Chea Vichea, Mr.Om Rasady, shot singer star Miss.Toch Sreynich and shot the film starMrs.Piset Palika, as well as shot death the opposite parties activists include the human trafficking , and illegal drug trafficking……etc. all of these were done by Hok Lundy relating to Hun Sen under the plan and control of Hanoi government as the systematic organization network. So, to wash and bury every crimes of Hun Sen& Hanoi’s government, they need the faked death of Hok Lundy to wash and bury their crimes, because Heng Pov in prison is not enough, for playing their crimes drama. Because of Heng Pov point all the crimes to Hok Lundy who ordered him to do. 2-To reduce the interesting of the international community on every crimes (murder and terrorism) of Hun Sen Hanoi’s government that control Cambodian people like “Masters and Slaves”. If they make the faked death of Hok Lundy to wash and bury their crimes, making USA and international community don’t care of crimes in Cambodia anymore that relating to Hun Sen Hanoi government, because they think that every evidences are buried with Hok Lundy’s death, so they don’t have the evidences and witness to condemn Hun Sen Hanoi’s government. So the faked death of Hok Lundy is the drama of Hanoi’s government and Hun 4 Sen to confuse and misunderstand of Khmer nation and the international community about their crimes. 3-To reduce the wrath and painful of Cambodian people: Every classes of Cambodian people who are the victims because of Hok Lundy, always felt hatred, paint, fear and need to revenge against Hok Lundy who always killed their children, husband, wife, and relatives, imprisoned especially the secret criminal organization of Backy, S.O.Y and the black shirt death squad who killed, murder, make terrorism, human trafficking and illegal drug trafficking, steal, rob and kidnap.....make them lost many Cambodian people lost their property. All crimes related to Hun Sen Hanoi’s government. When Cambodian people heard the news of Hok Lundy was death, they are so happy and they consider the curse of God condemn Hok Lundy’s sin and they stop angry against Hun Sen Hanoi’s government too. 4-To reduce the fear and carefulness of Cambodian people: Every Cambodian people considered that Hok Lundy was the major killer with violently who has the special rights to kill Cambodian people freely and when they knew Hok Lundy was death, they wasn’t felt fear and they are always careless too until they forgot Hun Sen Hanoi’s government ordered Hok Lundy did, until Hun Sen and CPP can’t used the electricity shock thousand of Cambodian people in Koh Pich on 22 November, 2010. Therefore the death of Hok Lundy was the faked death to wash and bury the crimes of Hun Sen Hanoi’s government, to confuse and misunderstand the international community, reduce the wrath and paint of Cambodian people, and reduce the fear and care of Cambodian people thinking about the crimes of un Sen Hanoi, so Hun Sen Hanoi’s government can continue their genocidal crimes against Cambodian people easily and freely. Therefore I please suggest that the international community re-investigate Hun Sen Hanoi’s government’s crimes re-vision because Hok Lundy related to Hun Sen Hanoi’s government behind them. I 5 please waked up both Khmer people and international community follow and investigate of CPP Hun Sen Hanoi’s government for giving the justice for Cambodian nation. If USA and the international community found that Hok Lundy is still alive and live in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, How should USA, United Nations take the measure against Hun Sen Hanoi’s government who hide the president of Criminal secretly in Vietnam. KI Media Dedicated to publishing sensitive information about Cambodia TRAITORS? (ZEROS) Monday, August 10, 2009 HEROES CCHR Concerned By Removal Of Pen Bonnar From Ratanakiri Province CAMBODIAN CENTER FOR HUMAN RIGTHS PRESS RELEASE Phnom Penh 9 August 2009 CCHR CONCERNED BY REMOVAL OF PEN open in browser customize free license contest pdfcrowd.com BONNAR FROM RATANAKIRI PROVINCE The Cambodian Center for Human Rights (CCHR) is deeply concerned by the role played by a Provincial Municipal Judge in the recent removal of Cambodian Human Rights and Development Organisation (ADHOC) activist Pen Bonnar from his position as Ratanakiri provincial coordinator. The CCHR calls on Judge Thor Saran to clarify his recent comments in relation to charges against Mr. Pen and to explain his role in the removal of the provincial coordinator from Ratanakiri. The CCHR is concerned that the case of Pen Bonnar represents evidence of a practice in Cambodia whereby the threat of legal charges is used to silence the voices of human rights activists and to curtail freedom of expression. The removal of Mr. Pen from Ratanakiri follows an extrajudicial and ultra vires request by Judge Thor to the administration of ADHOC that they remove Mr. Pen from the Province. In so doing, Judge Thor advised, ADHOC would remove Mr. Pen from the jurisdiction of the Provincial Municipal Court of Ratanakiri thereby ensuring that charges of incitement against him would be dropped; “it is easy to end the case and the court can compromise, drop his case and avoid [his] detention”. Although ADHOC deny that the decision to remove open in browser customize free license contest pdfcrowd.com Mr.

  • Authoritarian Politics and the Outcome of Nonviolent Uprisings
Authoritarian Politics and the Outcome of Nonviolent Uprisings Jonathan Sutton Thesis submitted for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy National Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies/Te Ao o Rongomaraeroa University of Otago/Te Whare Wānanga o Otāgo July 2018 Abstract This thesis examines how the internal dynamics of authoritarian regimes influence the outcome of mass nonviolent uprisings. Although research on civil resistance has identified several factors explaining why campaigns succeed or fail in overthrowing autocratic rulers, to date these accounts have largely neglected the characteristics of the regimes themselves, thus limiting our ability to understand why some break down while others remain cohesive in the face of nonviolent protests. This thesis sets out to address this gap by exploring how power struggles between autocrats and their elite allies influence regime cohesion in the face of civil resistance. I argue that the degeneration of power-sharing at the elite level into personal autocracy, where the autocrat has consolidated individual control over the regime, increases the likelihood that the regime will break down in response to civil resistance, as dissatisfied members of the ruling elite become willing to support an alternative to the status quo. In contrast, under conditions of power-sharing, elites are better able to guarantee their interests, thus giving them a greater stake in regime survival and increasing regime cohesion in response to civil resistance. Due to the methodological challenges involved in studying authoritarian regimes, this thesis uses a mixed methods approach, drawing on both quantitative and qualitative data and methods to maximise the breadth of evidence that can be used, balance the weaknesses of using either approach in isolation, and gain a more complete understanding of the connection between authoritarian politics and nonviolent uprisings.

This dissertation argues that recent moves by the Cambodian government to transform this site into an "historical-tourist area" is overwhelmingly dominated by commercial priorities. However, the tourism project simultaneously effects an historical narrative that inherits but transforms the government's historiographic endeavors that immediately followed Democratic Kampuchea's 1979 ousting.

Cambodia Page 1 of 20 Cambodia Country Reports on Human Rights Practices - 2006 Released by the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor March 6, 2007 Cambodia is a constitutional monarchy with an elected government and a population of approximately 13.8 million. Following elections in 2003, in 2004 the Cambodian People's Party (CPP), led by Prime Minister Hun Sen, and the National United Front for a Neutral, Peaceful, Cooperative, and Independent Cambodia (FUNCINPEC), led by Prince Norodom Ranariddh, formed a coalition government. However, the CPP dominated the three branches of government and other national institutions, with most power concentrated in the hands of the prime minister. Although the civilian authorities nominally controlled the security forces, in practice security forces answered to the CPP leadership. The government's human rights record remained poor. Government agents committed extrajudicial killings, and security forces acted with impunity. There was little political will to address the failure by government authorities to adhere to the rule of law. Detainees were abused, often to extract confessions, and prison conditions were harsh. Human rights monitors reported arbitrary arrests and prolonged pretrial detention, underscoring a weak judiciary and denial of the right to a fair trial. Land disputes and forced evictions, often accompanied by violence, were a growing problem. The government restricted freedom of speech and press through the use of defamation and disinformation suits, controlled or influenced the content of television and radio broadcasts, and sometimes interfered with freedom of assembly. Corruption was endemic and extended throughout all segments of society, including the executive, legislative, and judicial branches of government.

JOINT SUBMISSION BY NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS ON FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION AND ASSEMBLY FOR THE UNIVERSAL PERIODIC REVIEW OF CAMBODIA’S FULFILMENT OF ITS HUMAN RIGHTS OBLIGATIONS AND COMMITMENTS I. INTRODUCTION AND EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1. Pursuant to United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council resolution 5/1, which provides for the participation of civil society in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process, we - a coalition of non-governmental organizations (NGOs)1, coordinated by the Alliance for Freedom of Expression in Cambodia (AFEC) and assisted by the Asian Legal Resource Centre (ALRC) - make this joint submission on freedom of expression and assembly in Cambodia to the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) in Geneva for inclusion in its summary of stakeholder information. 2. Cambodia has a variety of human rights obligations in respect of the rights to freedom of expression and assembly. The Royal Government of Cambodia (the “Government”) has engaged with some international human rights mechanisms but not with others, whist the current national human rights infrastructure is seriously flawed. The last four years have seen freedom of expression and assembly seriously undermined with opinion restricted, parliamentarians silenced, the media controlled, access to information blocked, and assembly and public demonstration prevented. The Government has breached its international and constitutional human rights obligations, and has relied on national legislation which itself breaches these obligations. Our recommendations for improving respect for freedom of expression and assembly include ratification of the First Protocol of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights; the establishment of an independent national human rights body; and a series of legislative reforms.

In October, Prince Ranariddh was stripped of his position as Funcinpec president by his own party. And in March 2007, with less than a month to go until the April 1 commune council elections in which he hoped to compete, he was sentenced to 18 months in prison in absentia for selling Funcinpec's headquarters and buying new land registered in his own name.
