Whickham South and Sunniside Ward Factsheet

Whickham South and Sunniside ward is located in Inner West Gateshead along with three other wards – Dunston and Teams, Dunston Hill and Whickham East, and Whickham North.

To the south, the ward borders County Durham and Derwentside. The southern part of the ward is rural with a number of woodland areas. Key features include the popular Derwent Walk Country Park and Gibside Chapel and Grounds as well as Whickham Golf Course.

The main residential areas include Fellside, Whickham Fell, Sunniside and Marley Hill.
