Insights for ArcGIS: An Introduction

Insights for ArcGIS is available as part of ArcGIS Enterprise and Online and provides a new user experience for that focuses on simpler ways to work with your and share results. This includes , drag and drop analytics, and on-the-fly filtering and aggregations making interactive and exploratory analysis fast and intuitive. You will learn how to get started with Insights for ArcGIS, including adding data from numerous sources, exploring some of the available analyses, and seeing how to share results and models, as we work through some analysis examples.

GeoEnablement Record & Repeat Analysis • Geocode address • Share model to analysts • Convert X,Y • Document best practices • Join to boundaries • Re-run with new data • Enrich proportionally with demographic variables

Share Results • Share with executives Data Preparation • Tell your story • Format fields • Share with public • Calculate new fields • Filter data • Hide fields • Rename fields and datasets • Join datasets Insights is analysis first, reporting second

• Analysis finds answers • Dashboards present answers • A process or procedure that • A visualization or that creates new information communicates information • Derivative data available for re-use • Data remains within the visualization in other systems

Analysis creates new data and information, and finds answers.. Dashboards present the answers to others. Workbook
