CONTROL OF STREET TRADING

Take notice that the Licensing Committee of the Council of the City and County of Cardiff passed the following resolutions at its meeting on 10 th May 1989 and those resolutions were approved by the Council at its meeting on 24 th May 1989 and amended by Licensing Committee on 6 th November 1996 and Council on 19 th December 1996 and 7 th March 2001 and Council on 5 th April 2001 and Licensing Committee on 6 th March 2002 and Council on 25 th April 2002 and Licensing Committee on 11 December 2002 and the Public Protection Committee on 11 th May 2005, 6th November 2007, 2nd December 2008, 8th June 2010, 8th March 2011, 7th August 2012, 5th June 2013 and 3 rd March 2015, 8 th September 2015

1. That the following street (except such parts of those streets as are specified in Resolution number 3 below) be designated “Prohibited Streets” pursuant to Part III of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 with effect from 1 st July 1989, 27 th January 1997, 1 st July 2001, 15 th April 2002, 20 th January 2003 and 17 th June 2005, 16 January 2009, 2 August 2010, 13 th October 2015 namely:-

2. That in the case of any street adjoining or abutting any of the streets specified in Resolution number 1 above, not being itself specified in that Resolution or in that Resolution in number 3 below, any part of that street lying within 35 metres of any streets specified in Resolution number 1 above be designated a “prohibited street” pursuant to Part III Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 with effect from 1 st July 1989, 27 th January 1997, 1 st July 2001, 15 th April 2002 and 20 th January 2003, 17 th June 2005, 16 th January 2005, 2nd August 2010 and 13 th October 2015.

3. That the following streets or, as the case may be, parts of streets be designated “Licence Streets” pursuant to Part III Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 with effect from 1 st July 1989, 2nd August 2010, 1 May 2011, 13 th October 2015 namely:

LIST OF LICENCE STREETS (WHERE STREET TRADING WILL BE A CRIMINAL OFFENCE UNLESS LICENSED BY THE COUNCIL)

i) Those parts of the following streets currently designated as Street Traders permit Bays by the Cardiff County Council:

Bangor Street Great Western Lane Central Square Working Street Churchill Way

ii) Ann Street – East side 2 metres behind building line of Cowbridge Road East.

4. That the following streets, or parts of streets, be designated consent streets pursuant to Part III of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 with effect from 27 th January 1997, 16 July 1999, 1 st December 2012, 1 st September 2013, 7 th April 2015, 3 rd May 2017 and namely:-

Castle Street College Road, City Centre Charles Street Duke Street Churchill Way Fitzhamon Embankment City Hall Road Gorsedd Gardens Road Coldstream Terrace (for 5 metres from Green Street (for 18 metres from its its Junction with Cowbridge Road East) Junction with Cowbridge Road East)

5. That for the avoidance of doubt, it is hereby confirmed that in the above Resolutions the expressions “Consent Street”, “Licence Street”, “Prohibited Street”, and “Street” shall have the same meaning as that assigned to them respectively in Paragraph 1 (1) of Schedule 4 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982.
