There are also special renunciations which you may need to download before you begin. Jesus wants you to be free! Free from the sins of your past, free from the problems you have right now, and free from any fears you may have. If you have received Jesus as your Saviour, He has already won your battles for you through His death on the cross and His resurrection, which means that Jesus rose from the dead. If you haven't been living free in Christ, maybe you just haven't understood what Jesus has already done for you. Here's the good news! You may be young, but you don't have to live with sin and evil in your life! Satan wants you to think that he is more powerful than he really is, and equal with God, but that is a lie. The Lord Jesus Christ has disarmed him. He may be buzzing around like an invisible bee, but he has no sting left. You are a child of God and have been joined together with Christ. If spiritual forces threaten you, tell them who your all powerful and everywhere-present Father is. I am going to do everything I can to help you, but before we go through these Steps I must ask for your help as well. The enemy always tries to attack us in our minds. -

The Judas Effect: Betrayal in Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless Abstract This article revisits the ending of Jean-Luc Godard’s Breathless (1960) in an attempt to untangle the complicated relationship between the two main characters, and to claim that they are characters that belong to no identifiable genre. Instead, they come to life as characters at the intersection point of existentialism, creationism, and two radically different genres, film noir and neorealism. In essence, they are characters without a genre, always out of place, and their existential drifting generates a Judas effect—a trope that establishes betrayal and sacrifice as necessary narrative tools and that suspends the classical (cinematic) Oedipal cycle. -

College Comeback A Summary of Ohio Law and Policy on Outstanding Student Balances Owed and Debt-Forgiveness Models that Can Be Applied in Ohio Approximately 1.5 million Ohioans have some college, but no degree (or credential). This presents a critical challenge to maximizing the economic opportunity for that individual as well as for the greater good of the State of Ohio’s economy. These students enrolled in post-secondary education seeking a degree, but we didn’t get them across the finish line. If we successfully help Ohioans enjoy a “college comeback” resulting in a degree (or credential), we can make significant strides toward increasing Ohio’s educational attainment, improving expected gross domestic product, average wages, employment rate and Ohio’s economy. Among the barriers to a college comeback for this population are past-due debts owed to institutions of higher education at which they were previously enrolled, nearly always resulting in an inability to receive a transcript to complete college elsewhere. Facing these barriers, many students opt never to return and complete their degree. In recent years, some institutions of higher education – notably Cleveland State University, Clark State College, Lorain County Community College, Stark State College, and Zane State College right here in Ohio – have begun to offer new debt forgiveness programs. Cleveland State is currently offering up to $5,000 in debt forgiveness – among the best offers we’ve seen nationally. Lorain and Clark State are both offering up to $1,000 in debt relief. A national example is Wayne State University in Detroit. The “Warrior Way Back” program forgives up to $1,500. -

Wen the fiduciary is a doctor or a lawyer, and the entrustor is a patient or client, this harm frequently goes unremedied. Be- trayals arise out of disloyalty and conflicts of interest where the lawyer or doctor puts his or her interest above that of his or her client or patient. They cause digni- tary harm that is different from the harm flowing from negligent malpractice. Nevertheless, courts, concerned with overdeterrence, have for the most part refused to allow a separate claim for betrayal. In this Article, we suggest that betrayal de- serves a remedy and propose a new statutory tort with limits on the available money damages. -

THE OLD FREEDOM WILLIAM STERNBERG D URING his presidency Woodrow Wilson wrote an interesting little volume which, with his usual felicitous diction, he called "The New Freedom." It was, in fact, a collection of his campaign speeches elaborating the party program. He endeavored to explain how the government could be carried on successfully at the least expense to the people. The "philosophy of spending" seems never to have occurred to him. Again, instead of curtailing production and paying for non- production, he seeks to employ the energies of the nation to their fullest extent. In two chapter headings he defines the New Freedom as "the emancipation of business" and "the liberation of the people's vital energies." The following disquisition is not intended as a discussion of econ- omic theory. It proposes rather to re-examine the concept of freedom as a problem in jurisprudence, which Prof. J. W. Burgess in his notable book on that subject characterized as "the reconciliation of government with liberty." He observed that there was more governmental regula- tion of our personal affairs than had been customary in our political history up to that time.
