I am from Brooklyn, NY. I am a mother of two beautiful children. I work at New York Presbyterian Hospital as a cashier. In 2012 I married my soulmate. I planned my dream wedding that turned out to be memorable and a huge success. I received so many compliments from my friends and family that day. I have also planned 7 birthday parties, 2 baby showers, and 2 christenings throughout the years. It was then that I knew I wanted to plan weddings, and events. I love being creative, putting ideas together, and creating unforgettable memories for people. 3E will be a wedding and event business that will serve all clients of various ages, cultures, styles, and business occasions. “ My goal is to help ease clients’ stress and worries when planning their big day”. I love to see the look on my clients faces when their big day approaches and it is everything that they ever imagined. I would also want my clients to recommend my work to other people they know. The services that I offer are full service wedding & design, destination wedding planning & design, and partial wedding planning & month of coordination, etc. My business plan is to place advertisements in community base newspapers, and events -related magazines, and sponsor relevant community- based events and programs. I would also like to place billboards in different locations. The marketing strategies that I plan to use for my business are google search, craigslist, advertising, yelp, instagram, facebook, and youtube. I hope that using these strategies will help in bringing me clients to make my company grow successfully. 3 Our target market is any Bride, Corporate companies, or anyone that wants to plan a party for any type of event. Yes I do have a special talent, it is planning children’s birthday parties. I would be detailed and make sure to follow up with all appropriate vendors to ensure a beautiful event. I would say that is the talent that set me apart from others in the industry. My goal in 1 year is to get my certificate from Lovegevity. I plan to do internships to see how wedding and event planners run their businesses. As well as to gain more experience before having my own business. In 5 years I hope to have a location in Brooklyn, NY, and to hire three people to work with me to start my business. I hope to plan 30+ different events throughout the years. In 10 years I hope to hire an assistant, and hope the company is still growing. 4 Bridal Profile Questionnaire 1. Name of Bride-to-Be:___________________ 2. AN EVALUATION OF WASHINGTON MARRIAGE LAWS RIIOARD T. YOUNG* From ancient times up to the present day there has existed among sovereign states a traditional reluctance to legislate on matters concerning marriage. This attitude has been due largely to men's regard of the marital union as a personal status, some- thing which by nature involved a considerable amount of indi- vidual freedom. As families began living together in large com- munities, it became necessary for social pressures in the form of custom and church law to attach certain responsibilities to mar- riage.' It was only after decades of unsocial practices culminated in a general desire for change, however, that drastic legislation on the subject appeared. 2 The decree of the Lateran Council of 1215 Innocent III, prescribing the publishing of the bans for countries in western Europe, originated for this reasonA Similarly, the public demand for the suppression of the Fleet marriages in Eng- 4 land resulted in the passing of Lord Hardwicke's Act.
