Adult Retreat Mission Statement: The GSNETX Adult Retreat is a weekend event where Girl Scout Adults can come together to build relationships and a support system while learning new skills in a relaxed environment.

Who Should Come & Why?

Everyone should come! Why?

 Because this is a once a year opportunity to BE the camper instead of the person in charge!

 Because your fellow volunteers are putting this on and teaching what they enjoy – connect with them!

 Because there is sure to be a moment that somebody will make you smile or laugh, and that feels good.

 It’s just plain fun.

What is the Cost to Attend?

It depends upon your accommodations - - -

On Time Registration fees until October 15, 2017:

 Full Weekend Cabin Accommodations w/ 4 meals - $60

 Full Weekend Platform Tent Unit w/ 4 meals - $55

 Full Weekend Bringing my Own Tent or Staying in my Friends Tent w/ 4 meals - $55

 Saturday Only / No overnight – w/ 3 meals - $50

SERVICE PROJECT: Join with other Girl Scout friends who love our camps to do a special construction service project to benefit Camp Bette Perot from 2 – 5 pm on Friday afternoon. Your supper will be provided.

In this class, we will explore with Catherine and make different types of GS-friendly fire starters. They are basically a stuffed sandwich press on a stick, made to cook directly over coals. However, a whole world of hot decadent & delicious desserts also become possible!

MACRAMÉ CREATURES: Are you a Macramé MAX: 20 None beginner? If so, this class is for you! Macramé is a PGL: Junior & Up craft that involves tying knots into decorative patterns. With Allison Despain This Owl Pendant is a fun project suitable for 9PM beginners. It is a great way practice tying basic Girl Scout camp knots (square, double half hitch and larks head). Come join our group for this wonderful, easy and WISE-OWL activity. Participants will make the key- chain or owl hanger. As an added bonus each participant will take home handouts with other easy patterns, along with full “owl-making kit”! I promise you will have a wonderful and relaxing time you and take home a new skill to keep, to practice and to share!
