5 A Comprehensive Solution for Proper Water Management Dam Safety – 2D&3D Imaging Technology for Dam Inspection

Using this technology YOOIL is able to provide dam inspection services without having to conduct complicated explorations or cause harmful effects to the environment.

The 2D&3D imaging method is a quick and non-intrusive technology used to identify, map, and model preferential groundwater flow patterns/paths. This method enables us to render either 2D maps or 3D models of groundwater flow paths. It establishes a signature electric circuit within the groundwater of interest, which then reveals the flow and distribution of subsurface electric current. Measured data is processed and compared to the expected magnetic field from a theoretical homogeneous earth model to highlight the anomalies.

A magnetic field forms as the two dipoles, installed on either side of the dam, is charged with AC electric current. The electric current concentrates in areas where there is water, and this enables YOOIL to measure and observe the magnetic field, which then reveals the flow path of water leakage.

Water Resource Management Movable Rubber Dam System

The Rubber Dam (Weir) system allows for a quick and easy solution to maintaining set water levels.

Our system is equipped with water level sensors which transmits data to the control house wirelessly. The control house calculates the appropriate rubber dam height according to pre-set values and automatically inflates or deflates the rubber dam.

The EPDM material is capable of withstanding harsh weather climates and could last up to 30 years with normal operations. Due to this highly durable nature of the Rubber Dam, it could withstand sediments such as rolling rocks and heavy logs without any problem. The materials used for the Rubber Dam also does not emit any harmful toxins into the riverbed and the FITI certification we have acquired is a testament to our commitment to conserving the environment.

Bituminous Geomembrane is an innovative solution for waterproofing various structures such as dams, irrigation canals, and toxic waste basins

With a proven durability of up to 40 years, it could withstand direct UV rays, and is resistant to toxic chemicals, punctures, oxidation and elongation. The superior durability performance allows for the geomembrane to be installed without any cover-up material, which makes the installation process much quicker and more efficient compared to other commonly used materials such as HDPE, PVC and LLDPE.

The Bituminous Geomembrane is especially suitable for canal linings as it has excellent Manning Coefficient. By maintaining a constant contact with the subgrade without wrinkling, the flow speed of the river is kept at a constant high level, enabling the canal to be used as hydro-energy power plants by installing small turbines.
