[email protected]) is associate professor at the New Media Department, of 15 November Cyprus University. In 2006, she completed the Communication Sciences Ph.D. programme at Marmara University with her thesis, entitled “New Public Sphere of Global Capitalism: The Use of the Internet by New Social Movements”. Over the last 15 years, she’s been teaching communication and media studies at various universities. Her research interests include digital activism, social movements, and new media culture.
