Upon arrival, travellers will be asked to set up a personal intention and use the trip as a vehicle for their transformation.

Highlights include the BUILT ON THE main square Francisco Cantón 1545 MAYAN CITY Rosado and its majestic cathedral, OF ZACI as well as Carrer de los Frailes. This city is one built by the Spanish UNESCO conquistadores over the Mayan city 1998 WORLD of Zaci. It is now full of artsy coffee HERITAGE shops and independent art galleries. Valladolid is a great starting point VOTED for other adventures. 2012 MAGICAL In fact on our way from Isla Holbox TOWN to Valladolid, we will be visiting cenotes, gigantic natural skinholes created by the fall of meteorites thousands of years ago in the region.

Valladolid is known for its food, so a morning visit to the local market is definitely planned. Pick your favourite bench on the main square and watch the town come to life at sunset. Grab some street food and walk around, let the sound of a thousand birds wash away all your worries.

3 / INFLUENCED BY THE Merida is truly cosmopolitan. Not SPANISH, BRITISH, only being sophisticated in nature, FRENCH AND DUTCH it is the capital of the Mexican state of Yucatan. Merida has a rich 4 / 19TH CENTURY Mayan and colonial heritage. The city’s focal point is Plaza de la RICHEST CITY IN THE Independencia, bordered by the WORLD fortresslike Merida Cathedral, a colonial-era church built by the 5 / ORIGINALLY CALLED conquistadores using relics from T'HO ancient Mayan temples.

Merida is the largest, most modern city you'll be visiting in this itinerary. It is the cultural capital of Yucatan and is home to renown museums, architecture to die for, great shopping opportunities as well as delicious food. The city is very colourful and the buildings full of colonial history. Visit the many churches or indulge in some luxury experiences. Paseo Montejo is full of fancy boutique hotels, cafés and early century buildings.

The name inspires mystery and danger both. Bacalar is a sleepy town in southeastern Mexico near the Belize border. Lake Bacalar, also called the Lagoon of Seven Colors due to its blue and turquoise hues, is home to the world's highest concentration of stromatolites, coral-like organisms found in only a handful of places around the globe and considered among the earliest lifeforms on earth.

OUR LAST DAY

From Bacalar we will drive north along the coast to get closer to Cancùn. Our last night will be spent relaxing and indulging in Playa del Carmen. This is a great spot to enjoy the sun and the beach one last time, buy some last minute souvenirs and just appreciate each other's company. Despite being a touristic town, Playa del Carmen still remains quite charming.

You will have the rest of the day to relax, buy some last minute gifts and souvenirs, walk around the colourful streets and if you feel inclined visit the Frida Kahlo museum.

Chloé will have a journey completion chat with each of you to see what you've created, what you've learned, what you're letting go of and what you're creating next.

To celebrate the end of this beautiful adventure, we will head to the 5 stars Hotel Paradisus, where you will be treated to a luxury culinary experience at the best table in Playa del Carmen: Passion, by world renown, eight-star Michelin Chef Martin Berasategui.

Our 3000km journey will be done in an SUV of the type Nissan X trail, fully insured, with air conditioning. Petrol is included and Chloé will be the main driver (absolute clean record). It would be really fun to do it with an old Beetle... but 5 people can't really fit in there. Water bottles and snacks will be provided for every car trip we do between towns Roads in the region are very safe and police checkpoints posted regularly throughout
