Keynote Speaker Richard K. Faris, is Senior Vice President for Oracle’s Primavera Global Business Unit. The business unit was formed when Oracle acquired Primavera Systems, Inc. in November 2008, and focuses on project portfolio management solutions for project‐intensive industries. As co‐founder and executive vice president of Primavera, Mr. Faris led product development at Primavera for more than 25 years. His technical and product vision enabled Primavera to keep pace with innovations in computer hardware and software by developing and shipping more 60 releases of twelve distinct project portfolio management products. Before founding Primavera, Mr. Faris spent 13 years planning, designing, managing, and controlling capital projects in the transportation industry and developing transportation network simulation systems. Mr. Faris was Vice President at Day and Zimmermann, an engineering consulting firm headquartered in Philadelphia, and was a project manager for the City of Philadelphia and at Booz Allen Hamilton, a management consulting firm.
