1. The city map showing current interim parking east of K Street on the Lucky site plus existing spaces next to the Bankhead provide 347 spaces. (284 between K and Livermore Avenue, 63 next to the Bankhead). When the development of the Hotel and Stockmen’s Park are completed in 2022 and 2024, they and other new uses between Livermore Avenue and K Street will take over these 347 current parking spaces. The city plan will have added additional parking totaling 243 stalls (20 north of the Ale House, 14 on Veterans Way, 8 east of the Bankhead, 57 on the I Street surface lot, 24 on surface street around hotel and 120 under the hotel). However, new parking needs at buildout require 279 spaces (77 for Retail/Cultural, 146 for 133 room hotel, 40 for hotel meeting rooms, 16 hotel bar). The net deficit will be 383 fewer spaces than today (-347+243-279= -383) NOTE: City has a contingency of adding 77 more spaces with the construction of a new garage on N I Street if needed. West Coast Soccer Wolfpack Headed to State Cup Finals The West Coast Wolfpack 08 Girls waltzed into State Cup weekend playing some of the best team soccer they’ve played all year. In the quarter final match up, West Coast faced a very strong Ceres Earthquakes team. Wolfpack got on the board early with a nice cross and finish goal, ignit- ing the parent sideline into a frenzy. Later in the half, Ceres managed to equalize. At halftime, the girls had that look of determination in their eyes and wanted to get back on the field as soon as possible. With some back and forth action, the Earthquakes managed to pull in front to take the lead. Not soon after, West Coast made it even with a beautiful goal. Still making a push and not much time remaining, West Coast made the most of a free kick from 25 yards out, and put it in the back of the net for a 3-2 lead. Coach Sara Girotto strategically changed the formation the last five minutes of the game to shut down any offensive push for the win. The Semifinals, West Coast faced another formidable team, Elk Grove Almeida. With their eyes on the prize, Wolfpack seized their moment and got up 2-1 by half with accurate passing, quick footwork, communication, and sheer determination. With the strong winds coming at them, Granada’s 34 Ashleigh Ward heads the ball against West Coast Wolfpack shut down Elk Grove in the second Amador Dons. half for the 2-1 victory. Intelligent defense was displayed by Sofia Paz and Addie McNeil while Taylen Dayak shut down their top forward. The world-class professional a cappella group Six Appeal comes to the Firehouse Arts Center Theater in Pleasanton for one concert only, on Saturday, March 2, at 8:00 p.m. Despite their cheeky group name, the six male vocalists all have some very seri- ous musical skills: in 2018 the group beat out 181 top-tier a cappella groups to win the International A Cappella Championship in Moscow. Also known for their impeccable comedic timing, Six Appeal wraps everything up with the energy and vitality of a rock band. With not an instrument in sight, except of course their six sets of vocal chords, the band navigates multiple genres of music, rolling through decades of hits from classic oldies to current chart toppers, plus a few original tunes. The members are formally trained in singing, pedagogy, composition, and have over 100 combined years of musical education and experience, bringing a diverse repertoire of styles, musical and otherwise, to the stage. In addition to their 2018 International title, SA is featured on numerous “Best of” A Cappella albums, sang the National Anthem at the 2013 Sugar Bowl, and has garnered awards for Best Original Song and Best Original Arrangement among many other acco- lades. When not head-lining, Six Appeal performs with Andy Grammar, Louie Ander- son, Jay Leno, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, and Thundercat. Show time is Saturday, March 2, at 8:00 p.m. Reserved seating tickets are $27 - $37. Tickets online at www.firehousearts.org, by calling 925-931-4848, and in person at the Box Office, 4444 Railroad Avenue, in downtown Pleasanton. Box Office hours are Six Appeal to perform. Wednesday - Friday 12:00 noon-6:00 p.m. and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., and two hours prior to performances if not sold out.
