GroupMe is a free group messaging app. A free and simple way to stay in touch, quickly and easily. Share files, photos, success stories and more. You can also use GroupMe on your laptop/desktop.

How do I download the GroupME App? iPhone users: App Store Android users: Play Store Windows users: Store For your laptop/desktop, you can use the web version of GroupMe, just google GroupME https://groupme.com/

To set up GroupMe:

1. Enter your details, Account, Google Account or email address, and then tap Continue. 2. Enter your name, set an avatar (profile photo) and create a password. 3. Check the box to indicate that you agree to the Terms of Service. 4. Check the box if you want to sync your contacts to GroupMe, then tap Continue. 5. Enter your phone number and then tap Get PIN. We will send you a text message (SMS) containing a PIN.

Enter the PIN we sent to your phone into the app and tap Continue. We will take you through a brief tutorial to get you started.

Note: If you do not have a smart phone, you can use GroupMe over SMS. This feature is only available in the US.

To get started, simply text START to GROUP (47687). We’ll walk you through everything from there.

What is the difference between push/in-app and SMS Messages?

→Push/In-App:

If you're using one of our apps (for iOS, Android, or Windows Phone) you will receive in-app messages or push notifications. These are delivered to the GroupMe app using your data plan.

→SMS:

If you choose to receive SMS, messages will be delivered as text messages and will count towards your text plan in the same way as normal SMS messages. SMS is currently supported within the only.

If you have a smart phone, we recommend using the app. We've worked really hard at making our apps an awesome experience, and lots of features we've recently implemented just aren't available with SMS. Using SMS, you're missing out on sharing pictures, videos, our custom , gifs, and so much more.

How do I change the way my messages are delivered?

→iOS & Android: Swipe right and then tap Settings > Message delivery. →Windows Phone: Tap the three dots at the bottom right and then tap settings. Swipe right across the top of the menu into Applications and then tap Delivery.
