JFAA ANNUAL SHOW JUROR FOR PRIZES - PAUL NOOT Paul Noot received his BFA from the University of North August 8 - September 21, 2019 Dakota and his MFA from Brooklyn College in New York. Noot grew up in the Valley City/Marion area of North CALL FOR ENTRIES Dakota. Paul has worked with the Metropolitan Museum All Media Accepted of Art in NYC, and North Dakota Museum of Art in , Mixed Media, Fiber, Grand Forks and is currently the head of the Photography, , , department at Bismarck High School. He also teaches , Ceramics, Etc. classes for Sleepy Hollow Summer Arts, International Music Camp, BDAC and Continuing Education courses for the University of North Dakota. Noot is a founding member of the Bismarck PRIZES TO BE AWARDED Downtown .

$100 Best of Show Paul has exhibited in the region and is the recipient of several art awards. In 2002 he $50 Juror’s Choice Awards in was awarded the Citation Award from Bismarck Art & Galleries Association, in 2004 each category the KXMB Spirit Award, and 2005-06 the Golden Apple Award, and in 2009 the BAGA Volunteer Award. He was a winner in the Millennium Art Trail Project in 2002, and the $25 Youth Award (K-12) one category only Lewis & Clark Banner contest in 2003. Paul has been in several regional art exhibits and his work is in public and private collections. Recent commissioned work can be $25 People’s Choice seen at the Pirogue Grille, Bismarck, and a two hundred foot in Valley City. He (given at end of exhibit) also painted a horse for Easter Seals of North Dakota, a mini-bus for American Cancer Society of North Dakota, and a child for Manchester House of Bismarck. Paul has a connection to Jamestown as he created two mosaic benches for the Hansen EXHIBIT OPENING Arts Park and created a mosaic “free little library” for Bismarck High School. In 2017, RECEPTION Noot was awarded the ND Governor’s Arts Award for Art Education.
