We would also like to extend a special welcome to the participants of the inaugural American Collegiate Invitational event taking place Thursday, September 4 – Saturday, September 6. The event will feature sixteen of America’s top collegiate players – eight men and eight women – competing for Wild Cards into the 2015 US Open as well as USTA Pro Circuit events. We are pleased to be showcasing college tennis on America’s grandest tennis stage. The 2014 US Open is once again a 15-day event, which will continue to impact all five main draw events. The Mixed Doubles Final is scheduled for Friday, September 5, the Women’s Doubles Final for Saturday, September 6, the Men’s Doubles and Women’s Singles Finals for Sunday, September 7, and the Men’s Singles Final for Monday, September 8. This additional day does not impact the US Open Junior Tennis Championships or the US Open Wheelchair Tennis Competition, both of which are scheduled to end on Sunday, September7. Rules and Regulations The Rules of Tennis and the Rules, Regulations and Code of the Board govern Men’s and Women’s Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles as well as American Collegiate Invitational play. Junior and Wheelchair events are governed by the Rules, Regulations and Code of Conduct adopted and published by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and require separate entry forms. The US Open Champions Invitational competition is governed by the Rules of Tennis and USTA Tournament Regulations, and participation is by invitation only. If a player wishes to name a guest on-site (provided that guest’s attendance is directly related to the player’s participation in the US Open), a Credential Application Form and a general release form must be completed and submitted to the Player Registration Office. The guest will be given a grounds pass until the credential is approved (due to security background checks, potential wait time is up to two business days). As a courtesy to all players and for security reasons, unauthorized individuals are not allowed in the Locker Rooms. In order to ensure this secure environment, anyone who has access to the Locker Rooms will be required to show his/her credential to the security guard in order to gain entry into the Locker Rooms.
