SALT LAKE CITY (August 31, 2018) – players and staff will participate in their 20th annual charity event this season to support autism awareness through Vivint Gives Back and Larry H. Miller Charities. Participants will have the opportunity to play different family, and video games at “Game Night with the Utah Jazz” on Oct. 1 at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Tickets can be purchased now at gala.utahjazz.com. Individual tickets and packages in groups of 10 are available. Gold packages feature a unique player experience. In keeping with event tradition, the dress is casual chic with sneakers required.

Attendees will also enjoy upscale dining stations and participate in a unique experience raffle and limited edition silent auction, featuring a one-of-kind original piece by the artist SRIL. Bonus activities include Jazz locker room tours, photo stations and a golf simulator. After an opening social and program, guests can move around the arena to participate in activities of their choice.

“The Larry H. Miller Group of Companies has a legacy to ‘Go about doing good until there’s too much good in the world,’ and we believe the Utah Jazz have an obligation to enrich lives by giving back, making a difference and helping people in our communities,” said Utah Jazz President Steve Starks.

Autism spectrum disorders are one of the fastest-growing developmental disorders in the United States. The Utah Jazz and Vivint Gives Back participate in Autism Awareness Month each April to further raise awareness and promote equality and inclusion for kids and families living with autism.

Earlier this year, a new sensory room was completed at Vivint Smart Home Arena – the third autism resource of its kind in the NBA. Jazz tickets to families with a child with autism, T- shirts, signage and 18,000 blue glow sticks – blue is the color of autism – were all part of a designated game to show support. Several children at the game were able to stand with NBA players during the national anthem along with a special halftime program.

Vivint Gives Back is the philanthropic arm of Vivint Smart Home. The organization helps children with intellectual and developmental disabilities through technology, service and innovation. Since 2008, Vivint has donated more than $16 million and 160,000 total service hours to help people in need.

More than $500,000 was raised at the 2017 “Game Night with the Utah Jazz” to aid cancer research through the “5 For The Fight” campaign and to contribute to women’s and children’s causes of LHM Charities, the charitable arm of the LHM Group of Companies including the Utah Jazz. Special remarks were given by Jazzman Ricky Rubio, and . Emcee Craig Bolerjack also had a memorable conversation with eight-year-old Jazz fan JP Gibson, who is battling leukemia.
