The main intention is to provide a short and intense mission. The player starts inside enemy territory. Not all enemies are visible from the beginning. To reach their objective, players must move through the constrained area surrounded by enemies and have an unknown number of foes ahead. a. Synopsis

The Aventa lock is between the fourth and the fiveth mission in , in which either or Emily Kaldwin must cross the navigation lock to reach the Dreadful Wale. b. Briefing

Anton Sokolov was held at the mansion of Kirin Jindosh. You have rescued him and you must bring him back to the Dreadful Whale. With Meagan Foster and Anton Sokolov, you must pass through a heavily guarded lock.

Directly on the skiff, Foster will be waiting to talk to Emily or Corvo. She ex- presses her urgent desire to bring back Sokolov, before informing the protago- nist that she will be waiting by the skiff to bring them back.

a. Pass through the Aventa lock

Foster drops the protagonist off from the waterways. Before the Dreadful Wale can be accessed, the protagonist must first circumvent one security check- point on the Aventa lock, with a variety of routes and methods available for doing so. Then he must power the turning basin B to allow passage. Before it can be powered, the protagonist must first rewire the control panel in the basin B engine room. The engine room may be accessed through the main stairs in the security checkpoint, or by the mechanical room - an area patrolled by se- veral guards.

b. Condition of success

Activate the engine control panel in the basin B control room, above the basin B and reach the skiff where Meagan Foster an Anton Sokolov are waiting for Emily or Corvo.
