Polgwedhen Farm Traditional Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Polgwedhen is situated at the end of a private lane, approximately ½ mile long at Greenbottom, near Chacewater, just west of Truro. Surrounded by its own 10 acres of gardens, lake and pasture fields, the setting is idyllic, quiet and peaceful. We are former hoteliers and ran a Country House Hotel for some 20 years. Now we very much enjoy welcoming guests to Polgwedhen. One double bedroom and one twin bedroom is available for guests with en suite shower / wc / handbasin. Both bedrooms have garden and lake views. Breakfast is either Full English or Continental as required, cooked on the AGA and served in the Sun Lounge overlooking the gardens to the lake beyond. We are always happy to provide information on tourist attractions and local events For the business traveller – we are just 5 minutes off the A30 and ideally situated for the commercial centres of Truro, Redruth, Camborne, Falmouth and Newquay. For those attending courses at Saveock Water Archaeology – Polgwedhen and Saveock are neighbouring properties and it is possible to walk to and from Polgwedhen via the fields without going onto the road. Greenbottom is situated between Chacewater and Threemilestone; both villages offer a choice of village shops, pubs/restaurants. The county town of Truro is only approximately 4 miles away, offering good shopping, restaurants, bars, cafes, pubs, theatre and cinema. There is a good bus service at the top of the lane, Truro – St. Ives via Hayle, and a park and ride service to Truro is a few minutes’ drive away. There are bus and train connections at Truro for other parts of Cornwall. We hope you enjoy your flight! How to find Polgwedhen By road: Via the A30 through Cornwall. Proceed to the Chiverton Roundabout. Take the exit to Truro, the A390. Take the first turning right to Chacewater. Proceed to the junction and turn left to Greenbottom and Threemilestone. In Greenbottom turn right by the red phone box opposite the horse and rider triangular road sign onto the private lane which leads to Polgwedhen. Proceed down the private lane to the end, approximately ½ mile. The lane becomes our drive and leads to the house. A return confirmation will be sent upon receipt of deposit The balance is payable on departure. We regret we do not accept credit/debit cards Rooms are available from 4 pm on arrival day and check out is by 10.00 am on departure day.
