PLECROS AP S PLEASA T NT M JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB 2018 YEARBOOK To our wonderful 2018 sponsors In Honour of Ben Simpson “The Nail Gun” Thank you for the Support On behalf of the AMPJFC community, our hearts go out to the family of Ben Simpson after his tragic passing earlier this year but particularly to Jo, Iain, Matthew and his closest friends - be comforted by the fact that the family club has its arms around you now and forever. We honour the little champ in this 2018 yearbook and he will always have a special place in the history of our football club. Ben will forever be remembered as ‘The Nail Gun’ for being “tough & hard, ate bricks for breakfast, was blessed with a low centre of gravity and had magnificent balance… he ran straight lines in games and possessed a rocket launcher right foot. ” He played in a winning premiership side with the hawks, he got to ‘climb the mountain,’ celebrate team success with his mates, but more importantly he was a champion human being. Rest in peace little man. You made the world a better place….. PCB HOLDINGS WA Ben Simpson 2014 Year Book Player Profile (Year 7) A Tonka Tough player who runs straight lines and is difficult to shift thanks to his substantial core strength. A coach’s dream, with desire and team values along with his personal pride makes him a leader among the player group and officials. Every successful team must have a player like Ben. Ben was our go to man throughout the year. When a job needed to be done, Ben could be relied upon and he played many different roles throughout the year. Great center of gravity and work rate. A superb year, Ben. If you continue, football will be a big part of your life. Well done, excellent. Well done, excellent. 1 Presidents’ Report 2018 Presidents’ Report 2018 Take 2….. 2018 saw a changing of guard half way through the season. We hear from the outgoing and the incoming President. Taking over the reins from Peter Firth mid-year initially had its challenges, albeit I’m grateful to say it has been one of the more enjoyable encounters of my life.
