RESPONSIBILITIES Environments Visual Merchandising Designers are key members of each project team at Chute Gerdeman. They work closely with other project team members to develop effective and innovative solutions for a diverse array of clients and retail-oriented businesses.

Specific activities include creating viable conceptual ideas through image boards, sketching and rendering in store vignettes that will include store fixtures, mannequins, propping and product merchandising for apparel, home and technology retail. This position excels in space planning, spatial visualization, color and finish specifications, resource coordination of fixtures and visual merchandising. The VM Designer is part of the CG Visual Merchandising Team and works closely with the Design and Brand Communication Departments. They provide visual strategy and merchandising solutions to a diverse array of clients and retail oriented businesses.

REQUIREMENTS • BA/BS or BFA in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or Visual Merchandising or the equivalent • 2-4 years of professional retail design experience • Strong sketching and rendering skills with attention to visual merchandising details • Passionate about the retail industry, style trends, fixture trends, visual merchandising trends, window display strategies, art and design • Must be energetic, creative and can juggle many projects • An awareness of construction methods and materials, fixtures, lighting • Strong communication, organization and presentation skills • Strong awareness of Brand and how it translates into a 3D Visual Environment • Desire to work in a professional, fast paced, creative work environment

• Desire to collaborate with graphic designers, design development specialists and architectural designers to complete projects effectively and efficiently • Proficiency in the following software applications is preferred: PhotoShop, Sketch up, InDesign and AutoCAD • Residence within the Columbus, OH metropolitan area is required for this position
