INTERNATIONAL HUMAN RIGHTS CONSULTANT: Research, Community and Social Service August 2004 - December 2007

 i). Coordinated, mobilized & trained human rights NGOs, churches & other Civil Society groups in ten countries in Africa namely: East Africa region (Kenya, Uganda & Tanzania), Great Lakes region (Rwanda, Burundi & D R Congo) & Greater Horn Region (Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea & Sudan) on Economic, Social & Cultural Rights (ESCR) and Human Rights Advocacy;  ii). Enhanced ESCR in East Africa, Great Lakes & Greater Horn regions by creating a pool of resources that demystified ESCR with interventions;  iii). Formed a regional network that engaged in policy analysis & advocacy, influencing regional institutions like East Africa Community (EAC) & other inter- regional bodies for ESC-Rights promotion;  iv). Enhanced North – South ecumenical NGOs collaboration; mapped out needs & resources existing within ecumenical & other organizations in the regions to enhance partnership & skills sharing; promoted economic, social-cultural & political pro-poor systems.
