Dieses Jahr ist es wieder so weit. Bereits zum zwölften Mal darf unser Land den Tour de Suisse Tross beherbergen. Was 1947 begann, findet in wenigen Tagen eine ein- malige Fortsetzung. Erst zum zweiten Mal in der über 70-jährigen Geschichte der Tour de Suisse beginnt die Schweizer Radrundfahrt im Ausland. Dass es dieses Mal das Liechtensteiner Unterland ist, freut mich natürlich besonders und ist für unser Land eine grosse Ehre. Zudem bin ich sehr glücklich darüber, dass zu diesem Radsporttag auch der Breitensport gehört. Mit dem Familienrad- sporttag, welcher das Organisationskomitee in Zusammenarbeit mit der Aktion «bewussterleben» der Regierung organisiert, kann jede und jeder ein Teil dieses Tages werden. Die Sternfahrt aus allen Gemeinden zum Start nach Mauren und das anschliessende Befahren der abgesperrten Rennstrecke ist die ideale Möglichkeit, dem Radsport in unserem Land weitere Popularität zu bringen. Ich bin überzeugt, dass am 13. Juni ein spannender Prolog auf uns warten wird und die weltweit gesehenen Bilder wieder beste Werbung für unser Land sind. Dass die verschiedenen Organisato- ren der Tour de Suisse Liechtenstein immer wieder in den Etappen- plan integrieren, unterstreicht darüber hinaus die freundschaftli- che Verbundenheit zwischen der Schweiz und Liechtenstein. Dem Organisator der Tour de Suisse, der Firma IMG mit Armin Meier an der Spitze, möchte ich herzlich danken, dass unserem Land diese Möglichkeit gegeben wird. Danken möchte ich auch dem Vorstand des Vereins Internationaler Sport in Liechtenstein (ISL). Er hat sich dafür eingesetzt, dass die Tour de Suisse wieder in unserem Land zu Gast ist. Als Schirmherr von ISL weiss ich, dass die Organisa- tion und Durchführung von Sportanlässen von Weltklasse den Zweck dieses Vereins bildet. Mit dem Auftakt zur Tour de Suisse 2009 in Liechtenstein ist dies einmal mehr in beeindruckender Art und Weise gelungen. Fleisch aus der Schweiz www.malbuner.com 6 Sehr geehrte Zuschau­ erinnen und Zuschauer Liebe Freunde des Radsports Die Tour de Suisse gehört zu den grössten und prestigeträchtig- sten Radrundfahrten der Welt und darf auf eine traditionsreiche Geschichte zurückblicken. Deshalb ist es mir eine ausserordentli- che Freude und Ehre, Sie heute zu einem sporthistorischen Anlass begrüssen dürfen, nämlich zum Start zur 73. Tour de Suisse bei uns im Fürstentum Liechtenstein. Dieser Anlass ist einer der ganz grossen Höhepunkte im liechtensteinischen Sportjahr. Das Spezielle daran ist die Tatsache, dass mit dem Prolog durch das Liechtensteiner Unterland – von Mauren nach Ruggell – erst das zweite Mal in der langen Geschichte der Rundfahrt deren Auftakt im Ausland erfolgt. Ein herzliches Willkommen ergeht an die Radfahrer, die Teams und alle Zuschauer und Gäste aus Nah und Fern, insbesondere der Schweiz. Ich gratuliere dem Verein «Internationaler Sport in Liechtenstein (ISL)» dazu, dass es zum wiederholten Male gelungen ist, die Tour de Suisse nach Liechtenstein zu holen. Dies zeigt die Wertschät- zung der Organisatoren gegenüber der Arbeit der Verantwort- lichen des Vereins aber auch das Vertrauen gegenüber dem leistungsfähigen und professionellen Etappenstandort Liechten- stein. Solche Sportveranstaltungen auf Topniveau sind eine Bereicherung für unser Sportgeschehen und bieten eine ideale Möglichkeit, um Liechtenstein auf sympathische Art und Weise ins Blickfeld zu rücken. Die Aussenwirkung und der Imagefaktor aufgrund der medialen Begleitung und Berichterstattung sind erheblich und sollten keinesfalls unterschätzt werden. Es ist mir ein persönliches Anliegen, den Organisatoren der Tour de Suisse, dem Verein ISL und allen Helferinnen und Helfern im Hintergrund für ihren Einsatz und ihr Engagement meinen Dank auszusprechen. Nachdem Ende der 1990er Jahre der Europapark in Rust Auftaktort war, wird es am 13. Juni das Liechtensteiner Unterland sein. Zur Austragung kommt ein Prolog von 7.8 km Länge von Mauren über Bendern und Gamprin nach Ruggell. Damit steht unserem Land ein ganz besonderer Tag bevor, wird doch unser Land weltweit in den Medien erwähnt werden und TV-Bilder auf allen fünf Kontinen- ten zu sehen sein. Keine Frage: Der Prolog zur Tour de Suisse 2009 ist der öffentlichkeitswirksamste Anlass, der vermutlich seit der Hochzeit des Erbprinzen in unserem Land stattfinden wird. Für den Verein Internationaler Sport in Liechtenstein (ISL) war und ist es von Bedeutung, dass dieser Sportevent für die ganze Bevölkerung Liechtensteins zu einem Festtag wird. Aus diesem Grunde organisierte der Verein ISL ein umfangreiches Rahmen- programm, um das Liechtensteiner Unterland zu einem Fest- platz werden zu lassen. Wir möchten Sie einladen, mit uns diesen Tag zu verbringen und am 13. Juni ins Liechtensteiner Unterland zu kommen.     Biomatematický model BMM: Tour de France - 11. etapa Na programu jubilejní 100 Tour de France chyběl klasický prolog a tak jsme vhodnou trať pro BMM museli počkat až do 11. etapy, kdy přišla na řadu první individuální časovka. Náročnost 33km dlouhé trati notně zvyšoval silný vítr, se kterým se všichni závodníci potýkali. Hned v úvodu nasadil nepřekonatelnou laťku favorizovaný Tony Martin (Omega Pharma-Quick step), se kterým vyrovnanou partii sehrál jen žlutý Chris Froome (Sky Procycling), výrazně tím navyšující své celkové vedení. Mezi ostatními jezdci top 10 to byla vyrovnaná bitva. Roman Kreuziger (Team Saxo-Tinkoff) zajel výborně a udržel celkové 5. místo a samozřejmě velmi emotivním zážitkem pro všechny byla ostrá jízda paralympika Jirky Ježka v roli oficiálního předjezdce.     PRESENTATION 33e EDITION PRÉSENTATION 35e ÉDITION 35ème Tour de Normandie cycliste L’édito Pour la 35ème fois, le Tour de Normandie cycliste va parcourir sur les routes de notre belle région… La Normandie possède un patrimoine d’une grande diversité et d’une grande richesse… C’est dans ce décor splendide que les 24 équipes sélectionnées vont s’élancer à l’occasion du 35ème Tour de Normandie. Cette compétition cycliste de grande envergure est prisée par les équipes du monde entier… Tant par sa position idéale dans le calendrier international, que par la qualité du travail réalisé depuis 1981. Le parcours emprunté par le peloton a été tracé de manière à ce que le spectacle soit le plus beau possible. Même si ce sont les coureurs qui font le scénario de l’épreuve, le tracé de ce Tour de Normandie 2015 est fait pour que chacun puisse s’exprimer. Rouleurs, baroudeurs, grimpeurs et sprinteurs auront tous leur mot à dire au cours des 7 jours de courses. Un temps menacée en raison de l’application d’un décret sur la présence des forces de l’ordre pour sécuriser les 1031,600 km du parcours 2015, l’épreuve va de nouveau se dérouler du 23 au 29 mars prochain. Le travail des bénévoles, l’engagement des collectivités (Régions, Préfectures, Départements, Communauté de communes et Villes étapes), le soutien des partenaires privés font du Tour de Normandie cycliste l’un des plus grands moments de sport en Normandie chaque année. Cette fête est aussi sportive et c’est cette union qui fait que l’épreuve proposée attire tout au long des routes des cinq départements un public nombreux.

With 128 riders from 16 elite professional cycling teams, the Amgen Tour of California is the most esteemed stage race in the U.S. and one of the most important on the international calendar. With experts already predicting the 2014 edition will host the ninth annual event’s strongest and most competitive field to date, the race begins Sunday, May 11, and will include three of the world’s top-10 cyclists; Tour de France, Giro de Italia and Vuelta a España (Grand Tours) podium finishers; Olympic medalists; 10 World Champions; and six current National Champions, as well as exciting up-and-coming talent.     NINE ELITE PRO CYCLING TEAMS CHOSEN TO COMPETE IN 2014 AMGEN TOUR OF CALIFORNIA May 11-18 2014 Event Will Feature a Field Comprised of 56 Percent UCI Pro Teams – Equating to half of the Pro Teams Competing in the Tour de France LOS ANGELES (January 9, 2014) – The ninth edition of the Amgen Tour of California will feature an elite international field of professional cycling teams made up of World Champions, Olympic Medalists, Tour de France stage winners and other accomplished cyclists. Today AEG, presenters of the race, announced the first nine cycling teams selected to compete in America’s largest cycling race taking place May 11-18, 2014, over nearly 700 miles of roadways, highways and scenic routes throughout California. The nine pro teams announced include Team Sky; Cannondale Pro Cycling, whose roster includes Peter Sagan, winner of a record 10 stage victories at the Amgen Tour of California; Belkin Pro Cycling Team, which includes the 2012 Amgen Tour of California winner, Robert Gesink; and Omega Pharma – Quick-Step Cycling Team. “After the first time I raced in the Amgen Tour of California I immediately knew I wanted to come as many times as possible,” said Peter Sagan, Cannondale Pro Cycling. “Over the past four years I‘ve had some of my best performances here.     FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Meet and Ride with Tour de France Champion Andy Schleck and Cycling Legends Jens Voigt and Frank Schleck, Thursday, August 15th and Friday, August 16th Renowned International Athletes Training in Reno Tahoe to Ride with Community in Support of the Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway and Tour de Nez Reno, NV (August 10, 2013) -- Cycling enthusiasts are invited to meet and ride with Tour de France Champion Andy Schleck and cycling legends Jens Voigt and Frank Schleck at two public events and to show support for the Tahoe-Pyramid Bikeway and the Tour de Nez. The internationally renowned athletes will be in Reno Tahoe to relax and train for the US Pro Cycling Challenge starting Sunday, August 19 in Aspen, CO. These legends are hosted by Reno's cycling enthusiast Franz Weber, an Olympian and six-time consecutive World Speed Skiing Champion who chose to relocate to the area in 1984. “Many world-class athletes favor the Reno Tahoe area to train due to the altitude, weather, diversity of recreational opportunities,” Weber notes. “It was here that three time Tour de France Champion Greg LeMond got his start.” “Reno Tahoe’s reputation as a destination of choice for cycling enthusiasts and world class athletes continues to grow. I’m happy that healthy lifestyles such as cycling are an important part of our community and is an accessible sport for many who reside here,” said Stacie Mathewson of the Stacie Mathewson Foundation, which is a community based substance abuse foundation for youth, and title sponsor for the 20th Tour de Nez.

Fully Jens!By Susan McgrathI started watching cycling in the early 2000's so Jens has been a part of the narrative for the entire time. He was the most character filled rider in the peloton. He used social media bolster his appeal, I believe, in an extremely savvy way - even if it was not planned. Jens just opens his mouth and you pay attention because he is so freaking hilarious. Reading this book is like listening to him speak. It's a great light read. I don't read biographies for the most part but if you're a fan of Jens then this is a must!2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Dieser Boom lässt sich nicht nur an den Erfolgen deutscher Radsportler bei internationalen Wettkämpfen festmachen, sondern auch an steigenden Teilnehmerzahlen bei Radsportveranstaltungen für Hobbysportler. Veranstaltungen wie das Radrennen „Rund um die Nürnberger Altstadt“ tragen dazu bei, den Radsport in all seinen Facetten einem breiten Publikum zu präsentieren und damit seine Beliebtheit weiter zu steigern.
