ETS adds Park & Ride locations and shuttles to Servus Heritage Festival Includes new neighbourhood pickup routes July 27, 2016 Edmonton Transit System is adding Park & Ride locations and a new shuttle service for customers attending the Servus Heritage Festival at William Hawrelak Park, July 30 to August 1, 2016. Riders can use the Capital Line to catch a new shuttle service from South Campus Station (public parking is not available at South Campus). Shuttle services will also be available from Meadows Transit Centre and Health Sciences LRT Station. Neighbourhood shuttles will be available for Callingwood, Castledowns and Riverbend routes. These services include or replace neighbourhood shuttle services which were available in previous years along West Edmonton, Callingwood/Lessard, Riverbend, Twin Brooks and Yellowbird routes. Extra buses and evening service will also be added for Route 128 between University, Westmount and the Calder area. Park & Ride services will be offered from Lewis Farms Transit Centre, Windsor Car Park, Burns Lot, Calder Lot, Davies Lot, NAIT (parking fees apply) and MacEwan University Lot (free parking at 109 Street and 105 Avenue). ETS service will run on Sunday schedules on the holiday Monday, August 1. Regular ETS fares apply. ETS customers can plan their trip to the Servus Heritage Festival online using the ETS Trip Planner, route brochures or the ETS Live® real time tools located on the website. Parking in adjacent parks and neighbourhoods Public parking will not be available at William Hawrelak Park and Emily Murphy Park, except for those with passes. Parking restrictions in neighbourhoods adjacent to William Hawrelak Park will be strictly enforced by bylaw officers to ensure the safe passage of emergency service vehicles. Illegally parked vehicles will be tagged and towed. Dogs Festival-goers are reminded that dogs are not permitted in Hawrelak Park and are not permitted at the Servus Heritage Festival (See Bylaw 2202). Event Cancellation In the event of severe weather conditions, the Servus Heritage Festival may be cancelled. Severe weather may also cancel the event while in progress.
