Fardelmann Named to Yet Another USA Hockey Camp

Wisconsin Wild alumna and senior Meghan Fardelmann has been invited to participate in the USA Hockey Women's Holiday Camp in Blaine, . Meghan will be among 58 of the top U.S. players in the country that have been invited to attend the camp from December 26-31. The camp will serve as a tryout and training session for the U.S. Women's National Team that will compete at the world championships in the winter and spring of 2009. Meghan is a veteran of USA Hockey's Holiday Camp having been invited in 2007 as well.

Lacombe Named ECAC East Rookie of the Week

Wisconsin Wild alumna and Saint Anselm College freshman forward Michelle Lacombe was named the ECAC Rookie of the Week for her efforts last week. Michelle scored three goals for the Hawks in three games, including her first collegiate goal against UMass-Boston on November 18th. She added her second goal of the season in the 7-2 victory over Plymouth State on November 21st, and her third goal of the young season in the 3-2 loss to Southern Maine on November 22nd.

Tuesday, November 25 2, 2 (ot) Lindsey Cashman (Vermont) took 2 shots in the game.

Boston University 1, Yale University 4 Holly Lorms () was a starter, and Sarah Tittman (Yale) earned an assist on a power play goal and took 2 shots in the game.

University of Massachusetts-Boston 4, Connecticut College 3 Emily Brienzo (UMass) was a starter in the game.

Wednesday, November 26 0, University of New Hampshire 2 Micaela Long (New Hampshire) earned the assist on the game-winning, short- handed goal, took 5 shots, and won 8 of her 11 face-offs in the game.

Friday, November 28 Quinnipiac University 0, Yale University 2 (Nutmeg Classic) Sarah Tittman (Yale) won all 3 of her face-offs in the game. In the game recap, Yale Head Coach Hilary Witt complimented Sarah on her forechecking in the game.

Harvard University 1, University of Minnesota 3 Cori Bassett (Harvard) was a starter and took 2 shots in the game.

Princeton University 3, Boston College 3 (ot) Meghan Fardelmann (Boston College) took 3 shots and won 1 of her 2 face-offs in the game.

Dartmouth College 1, University of Minnesota-Duluth 2 Sue Schmitz (Dartmouth) took a shot in the game.

Saturday, November 29 Amherst College 3, Trinity College 0 Michelle McGann (Amherst) earned the assist on the game-winning goal.

Dartmouth College 1, University of Minnesota-Duluth 4 Sue Schmitz (Dartmouth) took a shot in the game.

Harvard University 2, University of Minnesota 3 Cori Bassett (Harvard), pictured left, was a starter and earned an assist on a power play goal in the game.

University of New Hampshire 4, Colgate University 5 Micaela Long (New Hampshire) took a shot and won 3 of her 5 face-offs in the game.

Yale University 2, University of Connecticut 3 (Nutmeg Classic Championship) Sarah Tittman (Yale) was a starter and took a shot in the game.

Edmonton Chimos 2, Oval X-Treme 7 Kendall Newell (Calgary) played the entire game, making 12 saves for the win.
