It’s your responsibility as a competitor or as a tournament official to be familiar with the Rules and to know the meaning behind those which are safety oriented. The fundamental NRA rules for safe gun handling are: ⚫ Always keep the gun pointed in a safe direction. ⚫ Always keep your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot. ⚫ Always keep the gun unloaded until ready to use. The Glossary of Firearms Terminology is an EFE initiative that has been lead by the UK as part of an EFE Working Group.
