LERWICK

Shetland Livestock Marketing Group in conjunction with Aberdeen and Northern Marts presented and sold 3579 breeding sheep comprising 2067 ewes, 1093 ewe lambs and 419 gimmers.

Ewes were an extraordinary trade. Ewe lambs met an increased trade from previous weeks and gimmers were also dearer for a more mixed show. All sheep were keenly sought after and more ewe lambs and gimmers could have been sold.
