Statement of EEO Policy

This EEO Public File Report is filed in compliance with Section 73.2080(c)(6) of the FCC's EEO Rules. This Report has been prepared on behalf of the Station Employment Unit that is comprised of Station(s) WGN- TV, Chicago, Illinois.

WGN-TV, an equal opportunity employer, is dedicated to providing broad outreach regarding job vacancies, and we seek the help of local organizations in referring qualified applicants. Organizations that wish to receive information about vacancies at the station should contact Human Resources at 773-528-2311.

For purposes of this Report, a vacancy was deemed "filled" not when the offer was extended, but when the hiree accepted the job offer and passed a background check and drug test (if required). A person was deemed "interviewed" whether he or she was interviewed in person, over the phone or via email. IBA has nurtured a diverse group of future Illinois broadcasters, offering them unprecedented opportunities to work and grow with some of the most dedicated professionals in broadcasting. This internship position is for a 10-13 week period, usually 24-40 hours per week and is executed separately from WGN's regular internship program in that IBA selects the intern candidates. 15 6/27/2019 Participation in events 2019 CPS Internship In Partnership with 2 Anchor or programs sponsored One Summer Chicago -WGN-TV Anchor by educational Anchors are hosting a High School institutions student from Roberto Clemente for a 6 week internship. The programs pays the student 20 hours a week for 6 weeks. The student has the opportunity to learn about the industry which he is interested in pursuing. Students gets the opportunity to write a briefing and research stories as well as accompanying Anchor on shoots several times throughout the 6 week program. Kids had the opportunity to watch video and interact with the Meteorologist.
