1- Action Points Surdash camp: (186 Families – 912 individuals) - UNICEF is funding WASH activities and supporting partner JCC to JCC to follow up the fix of two Review and continue up to end of December 2018. elevated water tanks and updates camps Updates:- digging 03 cesspools inside the 1. UNICEF will conduct Hygiene promotion session by a team in the camp and will start it’s activity on October 2018.

Barzinja camp: (15 families, 77 individuals) JCC announced that they will close the camp and they will send the rest families to Surdash camp at 18th of September 2018. Updates:- 1. Barzinja branch of DSSW is operating water system of the camp. 2. The camp management are repairing water and sanitation system. 3. Barzinja municipality are collecting garbage from the camp 3 days in a week. Ashti camp :( 2390 families, 11,553 individuals) - UNICEF is funding WASH activities and supporting the partner JCC to continue up to end of 2018. Updates:- 1. DSSW as a partner of UNICEF operating the water network on daily basis and providing drinking water with average 1080 m3/day (93 litre/person) for the camp, the water tanks cleaned in the camp. 2. Arbat municipality collecting garbage from the camp three times per a week. 3. UNICEF will conduct Hygiene promotion session by a team in the camp and will start activity it’s on October 2018.

Arbat IDP’s Camp: (372 families 1794 individuals) - UNICEF is funding WASH activities and supporting the partner JCC to continue up to end of 2018. Updates:- 1. DSSW as a partner of UNICEF operating the water network on daily basis and providing drinking water with average 175 m3/day,(98 litre/ person)and maintenance of sanitation , Cleaning campaigns are continue. 2. Arbat municipality collecting garbage from the camp three times per a week. 3. UNICEF will conduct Hygiene promotion session by a team in the camp and will start activity on October 2018.

Arbat Refugee Camp: (2208 Families – 8811 Individuals) – UNHCR with partner( Qandil & DSSW) continue provide WASH services to the refugee from mid of February up to end of Dec. 2018. Updates:- 1. DSSW continue operating water system to provide 125L/P/D drinking water with testing it to refugees. 2. Arbat municipality collect waste management 3 times per a week and cleaning campaign in the camp in the day of environment in Jun. 3. Hygiene promotion conducted by Qandil about environment, also conducted focus group discussion for pregnant women about breast feeding. Tazade Camp: (357 Families 1629 individuals) - UNICEF is funding WASH activities and supporting his partners JCC & JCC / To follow up the repair of DOGSW to continue up to end of 2018. 2pumps of 2boreholes were Updates:- broken. 1. Operating water system service and provide amount of water 250m3/day. UNICEF to clean water tanks 2. Maintenance of water and sanitation system outside the caravans are continue. for the caravans. 3. The 2pumps of boreholes which provide water to the camp were broken. 4. Collecting the solid waste management daily basis by UNICEF and one cleaning campaign in each month.

Qurato Camp: (252 Families 1171 individuals) - arche nova is funding and providing full WASH package in the Camp up to end of December 2018. Updates:- 1. Provide drinking water with average of 120 L/P/D, and maintenance of water and sanitation system continue. 2. Collect waste garbage on daily basis and monthly two cleaning campaign in the camp. 3. Distributed 253 hygiene kits (28 big & 225 normal) in August and 1 awareness session per a week also distributing posters. 4. UNHCR repaired the generator of the pumps which was not worked.

1. Off camps updates PWJ : 1. Preparing a proposal and doing assessment to providing the fund for WASH gaps in 2019.

GIZ: (Qudra – Local partner) 1- Drilling of deep well and construction of Pump house and Guardroom Location: / Raparin Administration/ District/ Nawroz Neighborhood Implemented partner: Raparin Directorate of Water Duration: 5 months / Target groups: HCs and IDPs Beneficiaries: 660 HHs, 3960 Individuals, of which 10 HHs are IDPs, Progress: 95%. Short Summary: A deep well of 150m depth will be drilled with supplying of pump set, construction of Pump house and Guardroom. The population are suffering from lack of water, however, There are at least 3 existed deep wells in this neighborhood, but the need is greater, therefore by implementing this project, hopefully the gap will be covered. 2- Extension of Water pipeline Location: Sulaymaniyah/ Bakhteary 111 Implemented partner: Suli DOW / Duration: 5 months WASH Cluster Page 2 of 4

Target Groups: HCs, IDPs and Refugees Beneficiaries: 300 HHs, 1800 Individuals, of which 10% are IDPs and Refugees , Progress: 95%. Short Summary: The main 150mm existed feeder does not meet the demand of the population, therefore it will be replaced by new 250mm Polyethylene pipe, to cover their needs. 3- Extension of Water network - Location: Governorate/ Darwaza and Goran Neighborhoods Implemented Partner: Halabja DOW / Duration: 3 months Target Groups: HCs, IDPs and Refugees /Beneficiaries: 700 HHs, 4200 Individuals, of which 11% are IDPs and Refugees .Progress: 100% and handover done. Short Summary: This project consist of 2 parts. First part is connecting existed deep well to the existed elevated tank in Goran Neighborhood, the other part is connected the existed pipelines of 4” to 8” diameters. 4- Pavement of access road to hospital compound Municipality of Halabja Infrastructure | Rehabilitation .Progress: 0% WASH The project intends to sustainably improve access to the hospital compound (including Emergency, Maternity, Paediatric hospitals, Centre for Victims of Chemical Weapons) through paving the access road in front of the hospital compound. Storm inlets will prevent the road from flooding. The project will provide temporary job opportunities for skilled and unskilled labour during the project duration. 5- Halabja Water Directorate Installing gate valves in the water network Infrastructure | Rehabilitation Progress: 0% Water The project aims to regulate water supply for the different quarters of Halabja city through installing gate valves in the water network in order to improve access to water for the residing population. 6- Drilling of wells for Yak Shahidan and Sarwaran quarters Halabja Water DirectorateInfrastructure | Rehabilitation Water The project intends to improve access to clean water through drilling of two deep wells, connecting water sources to existing network. Progress: 0% 7- Replacing, maintaining water network of DSW. of Water Infrastructure | Rehabilitation Progress: 0% The project intends to replace, maintain the water network in order to increase access to clean water and decrease adverse health effects for the population in the neighbourhood.

UNDP: 1. Construct of water tank & water distribution network in the village of Sadubest (In contract process). 2. Renovation of steel water tank in (In contract process). 3. Plan to cleaning manholes and inlets of wastewater network in Suliaimanyah (In contract process). 4. Plan to drill deep water well & construction of pump house in Ranya city. 5. Plan to construct of sewerage network and manholes in Qaladize sub district. UNICEF: 1- Procurement process is in progress by UNICEF for provision of two booster pumps with Q=200 m3/hr. for water system based on the request letter and specifications were received from Directorate of Sulaimaniyah surrounding water (DSSW) Ongoing. ICRC: Provideding 5 water pumps (3 booster and 2 submersible) to Darbandikhan district.

4. Gaps& needs 1. Dargala village in Zhrawa subdistrict contain 60 familes they are facing lack of water and they need new borehole to be dig. 2. The concrete box of rain drain in the Ashti camp was blocked, needs cleaning. 3. Repair and maintenance needs for the Water Project that provides water to the Sarwchawa and Shkarta sub districts in Raapreen administration. 4. Deep water well in Rapareen quarter - Rizgary sub district. 5. Water network need to Rizgary sub district. 6. Water pipe conveyor to Pebaz sub district. 7. Water tank need to Qurato sub district.
