Heritage Room (Library) The main project for Camp Corson will be widening doorways to facilitate handicap accessibility. Keep in mind, walls are made of concrete block on the island, not like here. In Ponce, the team will be fixing a leaky church office roof, of course, this roof is solid cement. In Old San Juan, the team will be working on the stain-glass windows, replacing the ¼ inch thick plexiglass that is protecting these historical works of spiritual inspiration. During this 2-week pilgrimage, the team will be accomplishing many other smaller projects at these locations and thanking the Lord for the opportunity to accomplish God’s work. Please help us with these efforts by keeping this mission team in your thoughts and prayers. Happy Reading from the Church Librarians, Book Reviews Kristen Capion and Janell Ault!

Listed below are three book reviews from the church library which is located in the Heritage Room. One review is from the children’s section, one is from the teen’s section and there is one from the adult section of the library. Enjoy! God Made the Sun by Mary Manz Simon God Made the Sun is a celebration of God’s gift of daytime to the world. Beginning with the first rays of sunlight and moving through the day, this book reminds little ones that God’s love shines on us just as the sun shines on the earth. With its lyrical rhythm, sweet illustrations, and novelty die-cut feature, the book will serve as a wel- come reminder of God’s presence in our lives. Made to Crave by Lysa TerKeurst and Shaunti Feldhahn What do you crave to make you happy? New shoes, a decadent dessert, popularity, a date with that cute guy in English…every day is filled with things we want and crave. Things that will make us feel good at least for a moment. But what happens when that moment is gone and the need returns? There’s nothing wrong with want- ing certain things, but God didn’t create us to rely on those things to make us hap- py. He created us to crave Him, and a happiness that lasts. In this teen adaptation of the bestselling Made to Crave, the deep emotional, physical, and material cravings you face are explored – desires that can turn into spending too much, over- or un- der-eating, needing a boyfriend, or more. Through real-life stories and support from people who have been where you are, you will also discover how truly crave God and the love and comfort He wants us to have, and how craving heavenly things can make the earthly cravings easier to overcome. Shaken by Tim Tebow Who are you when life is steady? Who are you when storms come? Most of us have been on the receiving end of rejection, a broken dream, or heartbreak. And while this is not an easy space to go through, when we are grounded in the truth, we can endure the tough times. In this powerful book, Heisman Trophy winner Tim Tebow, passionately shares glimpses of his journey staying grounded in the face of disap- pointment, criticism, and intense media scrutiny. Following an exceptional college football career with the Florida Gators and a promising playoff run with the Denver Broncos, Tebow was traded to the New York Jets. He was released after one season. In Shaken, Tebow talks about what he’s learned along the way, building confidence in his identity in God, not the world. This moving book also features practical wisdom from Scripture and insights gained from others who have impacted Tebow in life- changing ways. Though traveling hard roads is not easy, it’s always worth it! www.gravelhillumc.org Email Us!
