Snapseed in the top 100 best apps of 2018 according to PC Magazine. Historia Nik first released Snapseed for iPad in June 2011, and Apple named it the 2011 iPad app. Thanks to the success of the iPad version, Nick released Snapseed for the iPhone in August 2011. Later, on February 27, 2012, Snapseed was announced by Microsoft Windows. After the acquisition of Google, Snapseed was released for Android in December 2012, and the desktop version of Snapseed was discontinued. On April 9, 2015, Nick released Snapseed 2.0 for iOS and Android with new tools, features and an updated user interface. Snapseed users can edit sliding images to select different effects and enhancements. In addition, users can choose to automatically adjust color and contrast. Snapseed can save users' editing history and redirect them to any of the above actions. You can also create and save combinations of filters using default filters and editing features. The list of special effects and filters includes drama, grunge, vintage, focus center, frames and tilt change (which changes photos). Snapseed 2.0 introduced new filters such as lens blur, glamorous brightness, HDR scape and noir, while re-recreating the tool section with a clearer user interface. Users can share images directly on social networks such as Facebook and Instagram. Datos: No 19842892 Obtenido de Snapseed is free, Google-owned photo editing software. This app brings the power of a computer editor to your phone with easy-to-use pre-installed filters. Aside from this, for professional or aspiring photographers, there are many tools for editing images in a way that otherwise only exists in expensive photo editing software. What's special about Snapseed is that it was the first completely free image editor. Also, compared to professional software like Adobe Photoshop, it doesn't drop much shorter in features or effective power to manage photos. There is a reason that this app has a strong following among the photography community. The tools used here are effective and do exactly what you ask for them. Nik Software originally developed the app before being bought by Google. Google supports the app now, so the software stays up to date. One thing to watch also the app has is an iOS version that is slightly different. The Android version is just as good, and there's a VERSION for The Snapseed PC available as well. How to use Snapseed Once you've downloaded and installed Snapseed APK, it's easy to get started. Opening the screen will ask you to choose a picture. For the first time, it will ask to be able to access your photos. Otherwise, you can choose a tutorial that is at the top of the screen. Once you've chosen the picture, it will open to the screen with options at the bottom: appearance, tools and exports. The first consists of preset editing topics. They will automatically change your photos, just like Instagram filters. The tool section has everything like harvest, glamour glow, noir, and more. These settings will help you get exactly what you want from your images. Cleaning photos becomes easier with this. One problem is that there are an overwhelming number of options scored in one tab. Finally, don't forget to export/save the file. You can either save it on your phone, export it as a JPG, export it to a specific folder, or share it directly on social media whether to your story or feed. However, one of the problems is that doesn't automatically save your photo. Is Snapseed good? The quality of what is snapseed makes this the next feature. It was designed with mobile phones in mind, so it's easy to use. For example, when you change tones, you can easily control it by sliding right and left to zoom in or out. These features are not always intuitive; however, textbooks help up to any confusion you might have as a user. You will get a better handle on them and be able to apply knowledge to your edits. The quality of the photos when they come out is also clear and clean. It can also edit RAW photos. One of the best things about Snapseed is that through stacks, you can have much greater utility. Not only does it allow you to return what you did with the edit in an earlier version, but, it also allows you to keep the format as a view, so that future settings can be used. Alternatives To the leading competitor in free apps against Snapseed is VSCO. What's good about the contest is that it has an emphasis on shooting allows you to place settings in advance to take photos. Aside from being a not-so-strong feature installed in photo editing, VSCO has a lot of things locked behind a subscription screen. Adobe Lightroom's mobile app is technically free and more powerful than Snapseed. Unfortunately, there are many things blocked for paying a subscription. Also, it's not as easy to use as Snapseed. If you're a professional, Lightroom will be the best choice, but it's too much otherwise. The latest competitor is Photoshop. The usefulness of this program goes far beyond just touching photos. On the other hand, Snapseed effectively condenses down all editing tools while remaining free. If you want a lot of things in one place, Photoshop can be a good purchase. The Snapseed mobile app has done an excellent job to be good enough to be extremely useful, though not too good to be free. Even for professional photographers, it is quite at the same time easy to use by a learner. All in all, it has a good place. The latest update made the user interface simplified, making the search all much smoother. They presented a perspective tool that allows you to shift where the focus of the photos is. Finally, 11 new looks have been added to an already extensive collection. Snapseed is a Google image editing app that provides the best filters and photo editing effects available on your smartphone. The goal is practical and universal (at least for amateur photographers), so it meets all the basics you need. It is also familiar to users, so that they can intuitively understand how to handle landscapes. Start by touching the button in the center of the screen, open the file and add a filter by touching the button looks. You can even use more detailed variables such as brightness, contrast, saturation and warmth of the color of the photo. What's the best part? You will watch your photos change in real time. Snapseed is a quality photo Snapseed is without a doubt one of the best photo editing apps out there. If you're a person who's not very well convinced with the features available in basic editing software, and wouldn't want to dive into the complexity of a more professional photo editing tool. Then the SNAPSEED app is just the perfect tool for you. To explain this better, the SNAPSEED app allows you to achieve all the features and quality of editing you find and expect in professional image editing software. But, without the added difficulty, you can find in such professional applications. So being that perfect easy photo editing app to come up with professional photos and photos. • SNAPSEED, a Photo Editing App for Mobile Devices Nancy Matheson
SNAPSEED, a Photo Editing App for Mobile Devices Nancy Matheson Snapseed is a photo-editing application produced by Nik Software, a subsidiary of Google, for iOS and Android that enables users to enhance photos and apply digital filters. Snapseed was rated as one of the Top 100 Best Android App of 2015 by PC Magazine. Snapseed users can edit pictures using swiping gestures to select different effects and enhancements. Alternatively, users can opt for an "automatic" adjustment of color and contrast. Snapseed can save users' editing history. It can also create and save filter combinations by using the default filters and editing features. Snapseed is free for both Android and IOS devices. Android: Google Play (Version 2.x, last updated Oct 13, 2016) . IOS: App Store (Version 2.x, last updated Oct 12, 2016) Examples An attempt to capture some motion blur in a Skytrain tunnel. The original was unevenly exposed, with blah colours and it lacked drama. I used various tools to enhance the textures, even the light, while increasing contrast, converting to black and white and tilting for effect. Adding a frame and watermark finished the conversion. Handout – How Did They Do That? Snapseed Demonstration October 2016 Cropping, removing unnecessary colour, enhancing textures and lifting the light on the subject improved the storytelling clout of this shot. The original was a picture saved from Facebook. It captured a fun moment, but the poor exposure stole the story. Lifting shadows, supressing highlights, selectively lighting the subject, and laying over a fun texture to disguise the poor image quality, and enhance the fun.

  • Design of User Interfaces for Selective Editing of Digital Photos on Touchscreen Devices
Design of user interfaces for selective editing of digital photos on touchscreen devices Thomas Binder, Meikel Steiding, Manuel Wille and Nils Kokemohr Google (formerly Nik Software) ABSTRACT When editing images it is often desirable to apply a filter with a spatially varying strength. With the usual selection tools like gradient, lasso, brush, or quick selection tools, creating masks containing such spatially varying strength values is time-consuming and cumbersome. We present an interactive filtering approach which allows to process photos selectively without the intermediate step of creating a mask containing strength values. In using this approach, the user only needs to place reference points (called control points) on the image and to adjust the spatial influence and filter strength for each control point. The filter is then applied selectively to the image, with strength values interpolated for each pixel between control points. The interpolation is based on a mixture of distances in space, luminance, and color; it is therefore a low-level operation. Since the main goal of the approach is to make selective image editing intuitive, easy, and playful, emphasis is put on the user interface: We describe the process of developing an existing mouse-driven user interface into a touch-driven one. Many question needed to be answered anew, such as how to present a slider widget on a touchscreen. Several variants are discussed and compared. Keywords: Selective image editing; reference point; user interface design; touchscreen device; mobile phone; slider widget; computational photography 1. INTRODUCTION In interactive image editing it is a frequent requirement to apply a filter to an image and, at the same time, to spatially vary the application strength of that filter.

http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2393102,00.asp The 100 Best Android Apps of 2013 By Max Eddy ARTICLE DATE : October 28, 2013 pcmag.com It seems like only yesterday Google Play was a quiet hamlet populated by mere hundreds of thousands of apps. But as of this past summer, the official Android app store crossed the twin thresholds of a million apps and 50 billion downloads. Navigating this bustling metropolis of applications has always been difficult, which is why we've created this handy list to help guide you toward the best apps out there. We're constantly pruning and updating this list, trying to make sure it has a little something for everyone while also keeping it fresh and interesting. While our tastes and yours may be different, we think our list is a good starting point. Hopefully the next time you stop by, you'll see something new. Whoa, 10 pages? Uncool. We can all agree that paginated stories are annoying. But with 100 apps, we had to break it up just to make it readable. We've even divided the article into themed sections, so you can skip over the first 50 or so if you're only interested in, say, music apps. Also, if you're interested in more Android games (and be honest, you are) check out our list of the 10 Best Android Games. You're welcome! The 100 Best Android Apps of 2013 Hey, You Missed Something Though we are professionals, we have yet to physically and mentally merge with the Google Play store, becoming an omnipotent being of total app knowledge.
