Nico Muhly is an impossibly prodigious composer, San Jose Mercury News performer, arranger and thinker who has worked with Björk, Philip Glass and Sufjan Stevens, written an opera for Minneapolis Star Tribune the Met and film music for "The Reader." Dessner and Muhly will perform with eighth blackbird as well as each other, playing their own music as well as music by composers that have inspired them.
