Retirement Date Funds offer a well-balanced investment portfolio of equity and bonds in a single fund. Initially, the fund is managed to maximize growth. However, as the fund approaches the target date – and you approach retirement – the fund will gradually rebalance its allocation, reducing its risk to become more conservative.

If you prefer to Build Your Own Portfolio, you can do this by choosing from the funds offered through the plan. First, determine your investor style using the Investor Strategy Worksheet found online.
