Hi Everyone! I hope all is going great for you this summer. We're having a great summer so far at Christian Sports International. On July 8th we were invited to be a part of the first ever Faith and Family Night with the local minor league baseball team Washington Wild Things. The ball club really stepped it up to make it a great event too. They had the Christian band Red Letter Hymnal preform before the game, and K-Love played music for each player as they walked to the plate to bat. After the game several players gave their testimony to the audience and talked about how their faith in Christ helps them in sport and life. I got to meet many great people as they came to the CSI table to find out more about our ministry. We gave out a lot of CSI wristbands and tattoos to the kids too. It truly was a blessed day!

The next Faith and Family event CSI will be a part of will be on August 1, with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds professional soccer team. This will be another great evening full of sharing about faith and ministry. If some of you might be looking for something to do that evening, maybe I'll see you there. The Riverhounds have been red hot as of late so it should be a great game too! Discounted tickets can be purchased at https://groupmatics.events/event/CSI2018

Our 2018 Summer sports programs are going great! God is doing awesome things through our sports camps. From the beginning of June to date, forty-one kids have made decisions for Jesus Christ! Some were first time commitments and some were re-dedications, but all of them wanted the hope that faith in Christ gives all of us. Praise God! Please say a prayer for these kids as they start a new journey of faith, hope, and love.

And our summer's not done yet! During the last week of July we have a baseball/softball program in the North Side of inner city Pittsburgh, and we have a one-day clinic for inner city high school baseball players with Pittsburgh Pirates coach Dave Jauss. Please pray for these upcoming camps and clinics, that the Gospel Message will be presented and received through the Holy Spirit.

A CSI Evening with former Pittsburgh Steeler Jon Kolb

If you are receiving this email newsletter and have been considering supporting the ministry work of Christian Sports International, we are hosting a one hour CSI Educational Evening with Jon Kolb to answer any questions or comments you may have. It will be on Thursday, August 16, at the Double Tree by Hilton in Cranberry, PA. It begins at 6:30 with light snacks and refreshments.

Jon Kolb, a 4X Super Bowl Champion with the Pittsburgh Steelers, was one of the hardest hitting, toughest players to ever play the game of football. As strong and tough as he was, and still is, Jon is a kind, gentle, and humble man with a great heart and passion for God. Jon has also been an integral part of Christian Sports International. He has led many youth camps for us and helped us develop our All In Men ministry. Kolb, along with CSI president Scott Grinder, will be discussing the ministry of Christian Sports International and the amazing impact we have had in the lives of the youth over the last 28 years.

Please, please, consider coming to this event to at least learn more about our purpose and mission, and possibly joining us in outreach ministry through support. You can email me by July 30, at [email protected] to RSVP your spot. I truly and deeply appreciate it!
