This site is located approximately nine miles northwest of the town of Hinkley in unincorporated San Bernardino County, approximately halfway between the city of Barstow and the community of Kramer Junction (Highway 395 / Highway 58 junction). The property has frontage on the south side of Lockhart Ranch Road +/- 1 mile west of Harper Lake Road approximately twenty miles west of Barstow, approximately six miles north of the intersection of Harper Lake Road at Highway 58.

The Southern Edison Company’s Kramer-Cool Water 230-kV transmission line “POWER LINE ROAD” is located adjacent to the southern border of the site. A potential use for this site would be a solar energy production plant like the existing Solar Electric Generating Stations (SEGS) VIII and IX facilities, owned by NextEra™ Energy Resources just north the property.

The adjoining property owner, ABENGOA MOJAVE SOLAR has built one of the worlds largest solar parabolic trough technology electric generating facilities on their property. This site could also be used for many different types of uses including Materials Production Plants connected with the Solar Industry.
