In June, we agreed to take on responsibility for new priority areas of work, which will help deliver some of the City Councillor Frank McAveety Deal’s 28,000 new jobs. We also committed to developing a manifesto for economic development for the City Region. As the economic powerhouse of , it is crucial that we are at the forefront of shaping long-term growth for our local communities. Later this year we will set out our aspirations for how we want the City Region to maximise its economic potential.
