  • Jhansi - Gwalior - Agra - Jaipur - Pushkar - Udaipur - Aurangabad - Mumbai
Duration: 16 Nights / 17 Days Places Covered: Delhi - Varanasi - Khajuraho - Jhansi - Gwalior - Agra - Jaipur - Pushkar - Udaipur - Aurangabad - Mumbai Day 01: Arrive Delhi Arrive at Delhi international airport. After warm receiving and greeting by our representative transfer to hotel for check-in. Delhi a bustling metropolis, and the capital city of India, successfully combines in its folds the ancient times with modern times. In fact, more mythological cities are believed to be here, like the city of Indraprastha from the Hindu epic Mahabharata, founded around 5000 BC. Numerous monuments were built over several centuries by different rulers like Qutub-ud- din Aibek, Alauddin Khilji, Tughlaks, Humayun & Shah Jahan, who built the Walled City Shah Jahanabad. Later in first half of 20th century much of New Delhi was planned by Sir Edwin Lutyens, who laid out a grandiose central administrative area as a testament to British rule in India. The division in walled city & New Delhi also marks the division in life styles. Rest of the day at leisure or walk around the city by your own. Over Night stay at hotel. Day 02: Delhi After Breakfast, we will visit the city. Visit “Old Delhi” with its narrow dirt roads, its myriad people and inexpensive and colorful bazaars that keep alive the traditional workmanship for which Delhi has always been famous. The first stop is Raj Ghat, the cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi), The “Father of the nation”. Drive past the Red Fort, the red sandstone walled fort made in Mughal era by Emperor Shah Jahan. We end up at the Jama Masjid, the largest Muslim mosque in India.

S R I J A N S TATI ON R EJUVENATION INITIATIVE BY J O I NT A CTION Newsletter on Station Development MD & CEO’s MESSAGE Dear Patrons, Hope all of you are keeping well and achieving professional and personal goals. The month of June has been tremendous for us. Despite the unpredictable COVID scenario prevalent across industries, we have been pursuing our station re/development projects with full zeal and have put in a lot of efforts to make them investor friendly. Our persistency paid off really well and we have started to reap benefits of our hard work. From the time we came into existence, we have received full support of MoR, Govt. of India and also from Hon’ble Minister, MoR, Govt. of India. One of the striking achievement in June 2020 has been the unprecedented response to the RFQs floated for redevelopment of Nagpur, Gwalior, Amritsar and Sabarmati Railway Stations. 32 developers, including fund houses successfully submitted ‘applications’ for the RFQs. 9 Applications were received for Sabarmati Railway Station, 8 each for Nagpur and Gwalior Railway Stations and 7 for Amritsar Railway Station. We are hopeful that the response to our upcoming projects will be even higher than this. IRSDC is committed to transform railway stations into world class hubs with par excellence passenger amenities. Another huge development in the month of June has been the approval accorded by Group of Secretaries (GoS) to IRSDC for taking up 90 railway stations for stand alone ‘Facility Management’ on PPP. This is in addition to the five railway stations, namely, Anand Vihar, Secunderabad, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Pune being managed by us already and also in addition to stations taken up for redevelopment.

T HE M ETROP O LITAN M USEUM OF A R T N G O L D EN T E M PLE, A MOROUS G ODS N Delhi, Amritsar, Varanasi & Doha N With Olivier Bernier N January 12 to 29, 2015 T HE M ETROP O LITAN M USEUM OF A R T Dear Members and Friends of The Metropolitan Museum of Art, India, in the splendid course of its long history, has given birth to many different cultures. Hinduism is still the majority religion; but the Moghul Emperors were Muslims, and the Sikhs created their own religion in the 16th and 17th centuries. We will sample all of these – as well as some of the best 20th-century architecture, and conclude with a visit, in Doha, to a spectacular collection of Shah Jahan’s jewelry. Traveling with us, Olivier Bernier, who has designed this trip, will share his deep knowledge of India’s history and culture as well as his experience—with an almost endless array of shopping possibilities. Mr. Bernier, whose passion for India has illuminated many lectures at the Met, will also be describing and analyzing museums and monuments as we visit them. We will begin in Delhi and go through many centuries, from the Qtub Minar, built in the 11th century to Humayun’s Tomb, designed in the 1570s and onto Shah Jahan’s majestic 17th-century mosque. Then, as we move on to Amritsar, and its ever-busy Golden Temple, we will experience the most sacred site of the Sikhs. From there leap into the 20th century as we tour Chandigarh, the city designed by Le Corbusier as the new capital of Punjab.
