Cabinet, 17th February 2016: FINANCIAL STRATEGY 2016/17 – 2018/19 Committee and Date Cabinet 17th February 2016 12:00noon FINANCIAL STRATEGY 2016/17 – 2018/19 Responsible Officer James Walton e-mail: [email protected] Tel: 01743 255011 1. Summary This report presents for approval the 2016/17 budget and also identifies the proposals for 2017/18 and 2018/19 budgets which will be further developed throughout 2016/17. Cabinet has received 3 financial strategy reports over the last year setting out the budget position for the Council over the next 3 years. The report to Cabinet on 28 October 2015 set out the development of a Sustainable Business Model to allow the Council to consider what services will be affordable going forward. Savings proposals to balance 2016/17 were identified in the report on 9 December 2015 and following the Provisional Local Government Finance Settlement on 17 December 2015, the Financial Strategy report to Cabinet on 27 January refined the 2016/17 budget and provided details of what service budgets would look like in 2017/18 and 2018/19 within the current resource projections. As previously recommended to Council in the report to Cabinet on 9 December 2015, increases in Council Tax of 2% specifically to be used for Adult Social Care and a further 1.99% increase to be used as general resources are included in the projections. This report provides the final position for 2016/17 budget which has been updated for the Final Local Government Finance Settlement, announced on 8 February 2016. This has seen an improved position for Shropshire Council, with an additional £5.5m in Rural Services Delivery Grant and Transitionary grant provided for 2016/17, reducing to £3m in 2017/18.

Webberzine Year 11 Leavers’ Prom Inside this issue: 25th June 2015 - Mytton & Mermaid Hotel School 2 Performance Inspirational 3 Sparks 2014-15 Sports 4-5 Round Up Curriculum Day 6 1.5.15 Severndale 7 Music / Paris Trip 8 Our prom was held at the Mytton and Mermaid Hotel on the 25th June 2015, 7pm - 11pm. We were so lucky as the sun was shining all day. Everyone started arriving in a variety of transport, Limos, History Makers 9 tractors, land rovers, vintage cars such as Bentleys and Jaguars, there were Ferraris and also a vintage bus - it was amazing how everyone looked so smart dressed up in their suits and dresses. Year 7 Camp 10 After several months of planning it was nice to see that all our hard work had paid off and that the end product was successful. The weeks running up to prom were extremely stressful as many things Library 11 still needed to be organised, but on the night we seemed to pull it off. Both of us said a few words, and got a few laughs, and then decided to party on through the night. Sponsored Walk 12 The Mytton and Mermaid supplied us with brilliant food and non alcoholic beverages. For the main Election 13 course we had either salmon, chicken or tarte tatin, with dauphinoise potatoes and summer vegetables. For dessert we had chocolate brownie or crème brulee. Senior Students 14 & House Captains Although the whole night was amazing, a personal highlight for us both was the teachers dancing, 2015-16 especially those of Mr.

  • Hodnet Parish Plan
Hodnet Community Led Five Year Plan 2016 - 2020 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1 Use of the term “Hodnet” in the Plan. The Hodnet Community Led Plan includes Hodnet together with Marchamley, Wollerton and Peplow. Whenever this plan alludes to "Hodnet" it is intended to represent all the communities within the parish and is used for the sake of brevity. 1.2 Relationship between the Community Led Plan and the SAMDEV. The Shropshire Site Allocations and Development Management (SAMDEV) Plan sets out the proposals for the use of land and policies to guide future development for the period up to 2026. The SAMDEV Plan has been through an exhaustive consultation process and is in the fina l stages of acceptance as the principal means to deliver the vision and objectives of the Shropshire Core Strategy. Hodnet is included in the SAMDEV where it sets out the additional development planned to 2026, the site allocations and the development bo undaries. The Hodnet Community Led Plan will provide additional detail that combined with the SAMDEV and the Core Strategy will collectively represent the development plan for determining planning applications. The criteria laid down for the development of Neigh b ourhood Development Plans are very strict and complex, and in view of this, Shropshire Council is also promoting the development of robust Community Led Plans as an acceptable and viable alternative. While the Community Led Plan does not represent a Neighbourhood Plan under the provisions of the Localism Act; Shropshire County Council has recognised that the Community Led Plan may be adopted by as additional detail to be incorporated into the formal planning process.
