Dear Birch Manor Residents, Families, and Friends:

As the new Administrator for Birch Manor, I’d like to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Marcie Koenig, and I have worked in the senior living field for nearly 25 years, initially as a Social Worker, and then as a Nursing Home Administrator for the past 16 years. I spent 23 of those years with a nearby senior care organization, and I am very happy to now be at Birch Manor. I look forward to getting to know the residents, families, friends, and employees, and working together to ensure that the very highest quality of care and services are being provided to all!

I would also like to take a moment to inform you of the 2019 Maryland Nursing Home Family Experience of Care Survey, sponsored by the Maryland Health Care Commission. In mid- , a survey will be mailed to family members, asking you to share your experiences with the care that your loved one is receiving at Birch Manor. These surveys are conducted yearly, and the results are our “report card” as to how we are doing and where we may need to improve. The survey will include an envelope to return to the Maryland Health Care Commission, so all you need to do is complete and return in the enclosed envelope. Your participation in this survey is very important to us as we continue to strive to be the very best, so I do appreciate you taking the time to provide thoughtful responses and return the survey!

Thank you for the opportunity to serve as your Administrator, and I do look forward to meeting each of you in the near future. I can be reached on extension 4303, via email at [email protected], or feel free to stop by my office near the Receptionist.

Marcie Koenig, Administrator
