"Beginnings & Endings": On Tuesday last, 26th June Clooney N.S. Marked the retirement of their Principal Mr. Deasun Hennessy. Ending a 19 year period as principal and teacher of the school. A special Mass along with the Graduation Class of 2018 took place. Past pupils, parents and members of the Board of Management attended. Presentations were given and refreshments served. Mr. Hennessy, we can only wish you every enjoyment in your retirement and in the words of the Prophet Jeremiah "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future". In September Mr. Shane Greene of Aylecotty, Quin will take over as Principal for Clooney N.S. and we wish him every success, health and blessing in his new post. Clooney N.S. also takes this opportunity to thank Ms. Rebecca Mulpeter for her five years of dedication to teaching and assisting her colleagues at the school. Ms. Mulpeter's witness and talents will be missed and we can only wish her every happiness in Doora N.S. next September.

Clooney Graveyard Mass: On Friday 13th July a graveyard Mass will take place in Clooney Graveyard at &pm. All Wel- come.

Volunteers needed: The Health & Wellness Centre at Carrigoran House, Newmarket On Fergus is currently seeking volunteers on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays to assist the permanent team with our clients. Volunteers will be required for approx 2 / 3 hours on any Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays that suit them. Refreshments will be pro- vided. Community Games: Congratulations to all our athletes who competed in the County Athletics finals in O Sullivan park last Sunday. There were many exciting races throughout the day in blistering heat. Diocesan Notes

There will be a coffee weekend held at the Clare 250 Cancer Centre, Ballygriffey on July 7th & 8th from 10am - 4pm. All proceeds will go towards the Clare 250 Lourdes Pilgrimage in September for those diagnosed with cancer. All are welcome.

A public meeting will be held on Wed 4 July as part of a series of four provincial public meetings across the country ahead of the forthcoming Papal visit.. Hosted by the ACP the theme is – “What do we need to say to Pope Francis about the Irish Church?” The Southern meeting will take place in The Mercy Centre, Mallow, Co Cork, Wed 4 July 7.00 -9.30pm Chair/Speaker: Gerry O'Connor.
